Travala are trying to put a positive spin on it, but cutting rewards from 24% APY to 12% APY is a bit of a shaft for early adopters who bought a lot of tokens on the basis of the former perpetual rewards.
They're also lowering the thresholds for each SMART level - so Level 1 is now 250 AVA, level 2 is 500 and so I guess level 3 1250? and so on.....
And they're refunding everyone the difference.
I figure this is going to mean a short term sell-off, especially from those who bought-in when AVA was selling at well below $1.
So I just pulled my BEPSWAP pool with RUNE - you might want to do the same if you've got one going - if you want more AVA you may as well wait until it bottoms rather than getting your RUNE sucked out of your account as people swap AVA for it!
I still think the future is positive for AVA, as they are doing partly because of the SUCCESS of the membership programme, but in the short term I can only see the price going down?!?

Yup, I expect the price to go down in, a bearish market won’t help but I still trust AVA in the long term. Also, having the tokens locked for 30 days is kinda lame in this case.
With this change I got my level 5 already, so, for my is a big don’t buy and go for RUNE or more HIVE/LEO because I don’t have any incentive to buy more AVA.
I hope in the future the token price goes up to compensate. But I don’t know, imagine being a member of Travala team and you know this will happen, what would you do? Buy more AVA? Nope, you sell all your tokens before the announcement.
It’s a bittersweet feeling.

My timing to get into the program was also bittersweet. I waited all these months and when I made the decision they changed their structure. It's not a big pot. Hope the price will appreciate in the long term :)

I think I go up to L4 which is something I hadn't expected. Is the lockup 30 days? I thought it was shorter than that?
But yes I'm glad I pulled my pool for now although the AVA price has still gone up overnight.
I'm annoyed, that was a nice little earner that pool!
