Regarding gold - it's international investors moving out of US assets because they're spooked by tariffs and wild talk of annexing Canada.
They're not outright selling Treasuries, because that would roil the market. But when their Treasuries mature, instead of reinvesting in new bonds, they're buying gold. As long as that continues, the gold price should continue to rise.
