Personally, I think it's still best to be anonymous. Although for personalities undertaking projects and wanting to gain trust of investors or so, it might be that they need to get their identities revealed or doxed as they put it.

Reasons vary why people prefer to maintain anonymity. As for me, I don't want any regulators to know anything about my financial transaction. Of course, for regulators, anonymity is the enemy for they think our money is theirs and they are entitled to some revenues from our transactions. Focusing on malicious actors as an argument to end anonymity is just an excuse for control and regulation.

Neither do I. The good thing is that here in the country, we aren't forced to declare everything, lol! Although I don't mind paying taxes as long as it is used for the common good.

I think not many would want to have their identity known too.

Once we convert our crypto into fiat, that's the time to tax. But in the crypto space, we take all the risks and the regulators don't add anything of value to this space. Let them rule in their world, not here. Imagine, if they are doing in cryptocurrency what they have been doing in traditional finance, I think a lot of value has already been destroyed.
