Hello everyone in the Splinterverse, hope you all are enjoying the new reward mechanism in Splinterlands with the great opportunity of tons of loot chests! It has been a busy week for me in the past few days, so I delay the weekly challenge post and now finally have time to share some amazing battle that I have done in the past. The topic I would like to share is about SILENT SHA-VI. Let's move on and don't forget to have fun reviewing the battle and enjoy the new giveaway!!
About SILENT SHA-VI
Silent Sha-vi are entities from the shadow realm that take the form of giant snakes. They travel in darkness and shadow as if each dark corner is a gateway that leads elsewhere. They have an appetite for slow and creeping deaths, feeding off the escalating fear of the victim. If you think there might be a monster under your bed, it's probably a Silent Sha-vi.
Actualy, Silent Sha-vi is a pretty strong common rarity monster of the Chaos Legion. Besides that, it is the center of the attraction, which is kinda a DPS role of death team with powerful abilities and decent stats without costing too much. And it is my top 3 ideal monster in Death element.
The Battle Rules
21 Mana Cost
TARGET PRACTICE: All Ranged and Magic attack Monsters have the Snipe ability.
CLOSE RANGE: Ranged attacks may be used in the first position in battles.
My Team
It is a mid level mana battle with 21 mana cost. For me, the rule-set did not make any significant change in my strategy. One thing that I reminded myself is that I need to protect my ranger/magic monster (if any). As you can see, I purposely pick the Dragon summoner with shield ability to protect my backline monster.

The Lineup
Summoner
The Drake of Arnak is one of my favorite dragon summoner that provide 1 Shield for all my monsters, which means that all my monster can overcome 1 more melee/range hit from the opponents. Picking the summoner with shield is definitely a wise choice in high and low mana battles. Plus, the dragon summoner allows me to pick one more element in line up which enables me with more combinations in preparation times.
Front Row
The CURSED WINDEKU is a good death tank with thorns and healing ability once you level it up to 5 level. These two abilities could be regard as another death version of 'Sea Monster'. Right now, the price of CURSED WINDEKU is still cheap. As a result, if you are going to play the death team, it should be a must in your shopping list since I see the value of it in long term. Besides that, my suggest level is level 5 (40 bcx) is you have limited budget.
Second
The CORPSE FIEND shares the same purpose of my Furious Chicken. Normally I will save a spot for it if I near fill up my mana space. Together with my Drake of Arnak summoner with shield provided. It can take up to 2 hits from enemies which is pretty useful. From my perspective, these 2 hits could be essential in every battle since you might turn a loss to a win. Therefore, I love all the FIENDS in chaos legion edition since they are really useful.
Third
The Furious Chicken is definitely a 'Legendary card' for me in any circumstances just like the Fiends of Chaos Legion. It plays a role of
shieldto protect my Uraeus since we have the rule set of opportunity, which means that the enemies will my Furious Chicken first. With the Divine Shield buff, tanking 2 hits from the monsters while costing 0 Mana is super cool.
Fourth
The SILENT SHA-VI is actually a beast in the CL edition since you might possibly meet it in every battle of death. It is a common card but of high potentials. The damage for it is excellent by considering only 5 mana cost. My suggest level for new comers is level 6 since you get the extra ability of Cripple. And the most important thing is that, the SILENT SHA-VI is a common monster that will not cost you too much on building it. So that, you are suggest to max it to enjoy the amazing abilities of it.
Fifth
The Uraeus is a card with excellent ability to use in low Mana battles and I always save a place for him in melee line up. It has 2 damage in level two which is a must to upgrade it before the battle to get that 1 sweet damage.
Last
The HAUNTED SPIDER is another great common cards with decent efficiency. It has good stats (3 damage, 4 speed and 5 health) that only costs 3 mana. When we comes to considering the cost, the 3 mana it occupied is definitely worth it. Plus, the poision ability is also another great thing to increase the DPS since you have 50% change (in theory) to poision the enemies to deal another 2 extra damage. Therefore, the suggest level for HAUNTED SPIDER is level 4 or level 9 and up to your budget.
Battle Result
This one was not that easy since my enemy want to do a cancer tricks. Let's dig deeper into what my enemy want to do ideally.
Actually, the combination is very good for his strategy. Taunt, Enrage, Trample and Piercing is a super power combination for a tank. And you can literally find it out that, once my Front tank is dead, my whole team would die very soon since the Magnor has tramp ability with Piercing. Basically, they will die within 3 rounds. However, my enemy missed another critical point is the healing ability. The healing ability would reset the boost of Enrage buff. As a result, if my enemy did not put the Bettle Queen into the line up, it could possibly be a loss for me
Considering my strategy, I mainly focus on sneak ability with the combination of Uraeus and SILENT SHA-VI. Plus there are 2 monster with poison ability in my team. So that I can kill the tank very soon with the thorns ability of my front tank. Overall, my strategy in this battle worked well and just make me a win.
