@dswigle is correct. We live on a little narrowboat and we are continuous cruisers which means we don't have a permanent mooring slip. This makes it cheaper for us but you still have to have your canal and river license paid yearly. Insurance. Diesel and cooking gas. And most importantly remember boats need constant upkeep. All that being said it can be done cheaply and it is a great lifestyle. Keep saving there are many good priced affordable boats out there.
