crypto does not have gamers in it :(

crypto gaming play-to-earn does not count.

Where are all my gamers at?

Steam machine thoughts?

Sort:

steam machine looks pretty sick

will really depend on the price tag, but i have a feeling it'll be at least $999

at that price.
It is an easy buy for people.

"easy buy" is a strong word. at that price, a lot of console gamers are completely priced out. i have a feeling it'll be a hard sell to non-PC gamers just because of the price. hopefully i'm wrong because i will be buying one eventually.

well console gamers are dead anyways.
Microsoft is going the way of Sega.
The only "console" left will be Sony.
Gamers have moved on.
If a game can not be played any where on any screen no one under 25 wants to touch it.

however, I do also see the market for a console/computer hybrid. for people that want to pc game but don't want to build or figure out what to buy... The steam machine will be perfect

exactly. No one wants to build a pc.
people just want devices that work.
that is why the phone always wins over the computer with the masses.

agreed the steam machine solves this.

console gaming is alive and well I'd argue. it's just going to be Sony and Nintendo. that market is and always will be huge. PS remote play allows me to game anywhere on my iPad or whatever device. Switch is designed mobile first.

I understand what PS remote play is.
it shows exactly what I am saying.
the console is dead.
under 25 only wants to play on the iPad.

So yes older than 25 will play on their console but those gamers age out.

That's interesting. Why do you think games aren't into crypto? I know you've said p2e doesn't count, and probably it's because there aren't real games in there... or the money incentives make for people not caring about the game

play to earn is a ponzi not a game mechanic.
every crypto bro trying to turn every game into that for a get rich quick scheme turned the masses of gamers off of crypto.

gaming in general has died for the most part. And crypto games even worse.

gaming has died?
what???
the sales revenue for gaming is higher than ever!
More people play games daily than ever!

Where are you getting your data set?

Look at money spent in gaming and factor in inflation values and you get a net negative since 2020-2022 it's one of the slowest growing areas in the last two years and this year.

hahahaha!
You are using the years where people had free governement to spend while sitting at home.
plus the money they saved not having to travel to work.

wow! What a misguided view of the world.

I actually feel sorry for you if you see the world that way and believe that.

How many shots did you get? I bet a ton.

Zero and you're seriously insufferable 😂 Good luck my dude because clearly you are ALWAYS right and have to make up for it by insulting people for no reason.

insufferable?
I am not always right, but using a fake data point based around the government forcing its will on the people that it never had the authority to do.
baffles my mind.

You do sound like someone who took the shot for sure.
