I can’t think of any other financial instrument that allows you to truly lock your money for yield.
If you announce you will lock for lets say, 3,696 days, that means you have to stick to your “word”. It is called the “truth engine” because if you “break your promise” to the contract and “emergency end stake” your locked stake you will receive a penalty.
If you have served exactly half you term, you will only lose all of your interest, if you serve less than half your term, not only will you lose all your interest but some principal as well. But if you break your promise after the halfway point then you keep your principal and some of your interest.
Now what happens to those penalties? They are split between those who are locked that day, increasing their yield for that day.
Millionaires and billionaires having been locking up their value like crazy. They get hex in yield, and also can mint hedron which is a different project which inflates to reward hex stakers.
There is an entire hex related ecosystem that people don’t even know about, so much so that the hex ecosystem is the most active community on the ethw and ethf chains that just come to be recently.
Everything is down, the markets are crazy, even hex is down, but the price chart doesn’t show the trustless yield you are making everyday, so that negates some of the downwards price action.
Do the opposite of what the herd is doing, check out hex, check out richard heart, do your own research, look into pulsechain, look into pulsex, be safe out there.
