Why did MicroStrategy invest in Bitcoin?

in LeoFinance3 years ago

On December 1, Coinbase was confirmed to have helped MicroStrategy invest $425 million in Bitcoin.

The purchase took place in September, but until recently it was unclear through which middle man this entry into the crypto market was realized.

For those interested, here is an article from Decrypt that goes a little deeper into the details:

But today the question is what the attitude behind this activity was. Why did MicroStrategy invest in Bitcoin at that moment?

I found an exciting video about this in which Marc Friedrich & Michael Saylor. The video goes over an hour and is both: very informative and partly very entertaining. Michael Saylor unpacks some stories.

Don't be surprised, the video is published on a german youtube channel and also the introduction is in german.

The actual interview is in English, but has only German subtitles. So this could be interesting for everyone here.
