RE: Hive's Future: Applications Access Via Resource Credits

Is Splinterlands need to buy more $HIVE then that may help matters, but they hide the concept of HP from players. It makes me think they want the option to move off this chain, but more players could be earning by blogging. It seems like a missed opportunity to get more engagement. Most people are interested in more than just playing games.

but they hide the concept of HP from players.

I would say that they are doing it right. They have build a blockchain experience where the players never need to see the blockchain. This is the way it should be going forward. The apps need to worry about running on hive but the users never need to see it.

Unless they want to. The options are there for players to move into other areas of the eco-system through their tribe and contests so it's there for people who want to find it.

Most people are interested in more than just playing games.

Some are but a lot of gamers don't want to blog. They are two very different interests and necessarily mix. It would be great if the apps were feeders into the wider eco-system but i would be happy just to see them achieve personal growth and boost our eco-system through new revenue streams and buying up hive power to run their apps.

We each have our own mix of interests. I get that some are focused on just one thing, but they will be a minority. I assume the Splinterlands people have their own ideas of how to do things, so good luck to them. At least they are using Hive and have brought in a lot of users.

They have done a lot to bring users and activity to the chain.
They are also launching their new soccer game on hive as well which is a big commitment to hive as it's in partnership with major league soccer and have plans to build a full suite of sports games.

Each to their own but i would be a fan of how they are building their apps.
