The future of the internet is personalized. Actually, this could be applied to the real world through future customization using technologies such as 3D printers.
For the sake of this article, we are going to concentrate on the digital realm, and what it will look like with AI agents.
Our present internet is a siloed system full of "public" information that is spread across multiple platforms. These databases are not linked, being controlled by individual companies. What this means is that each is racing ahead to provide users with the personalized experience, using data input to those platforms.
Naturally, there is a major problem. No one platform will have a complete picture. These takes on added meaning when we consider private information such as bank accounts.
How is this going to be resolved?
In this article I will dig into AI agents and what the agentic future looks like.

Data And The Future Of AI Agents
Data is at the center of everything we do.
The first phase was getting enough data to train models. It was something that was questioned a couple years ago. However, the reality that models could train on synthetic data without a setback was a breakthrough. We also see the prospect of real world AI adding to the data pile.
We are rapidly approaching a time when the next phase will start to evolve. This is going to be the personalization of everything. What this means is the algorithms will need to develop a profile of each person. It is why the siloed system is problematic.
Ideally, everything we do needs to be available to our agent(s). The challenge becomes one of privacy. It is bad enough that social media companies are scouring everything we do. While people throw a fit about this, we are the ones who input the data. We are a willing participant.
There is likely an order of magnitude more when it comes to information that is not "public". We have bank statements, payroll information, customer lists, and many other databases tied to individuals and companies that is not accessible. All of this could be used to shape one's profile.
Focusing Upon Databases
People obviously could alleviate this situation by putting private information online. Actually, we see many doing this albeit not in the manner I am describing. It is still amazing to me that people post every nuance of their personal lives for others to read.
That aside, nobody with any sense is going to post their banking or other money information. This is private for a reason. It does, however, tell a great deal about us. We also see this with healthcare, food and travel. Our viewing habits on YouTube or Netflix reveal even more.
So what is the solution?
We are going to require solutions from a technical standpoint. People need to figure out how to use private data without revealing it.
At the same time, for that which is public, it needs to move from the siloed systems. A blockchain like Hive is ideal since it is a permissionless, text database. Anyone is free to use the data, setting their own API.
Individually, we all need to be focused upon what we are teaching these models about ourselves. What is out there is being tracked, monitored, collected, and analyzed. It happens regardless of whether we pay attention to it or not.
For that reason, we must start to concentrate on what we are revealing. Determined action will only be to our benefit. Since these models are swallowing everything up, we might as well give it what we desire.
