Leofinance is hot. We already knew that we are leading the way in comments throughout all of Hive.
Today, we got verification with the weekly release by @leo.stats.
Before getting to that, let us take a look at what Alexa is saying about Leofinance.io. Throughout the week, many made not of how things are progressing.
The site moved passed 84,000, a nice improvement.
What is very interesting is these statistics. Notice the 12.37 minutes per visitor spent on the site. That is incredible.
A lot of this, in my view, can be attributed to the focus upon engagement and commenting.
Now to how we did this past week. Here is a chart depicting how the comments fared over time. We can see the nice upward trend.
The one day high was reached this week of 1,011.
Then we have our top 10 list.
Here is what last week's list looked like.
When we add up all the comments on each of these lists we this we totaled 2,208 comments, an average of 220 per person.
This compared to last week where the Top 10 put up 1,737 posts, an increase of 471 or more than 47 per person.
Overall, this is sensational growth.
It might be interesting if we could get the total comments left during the week and the number of accounts who did leave a comment. (@dalz)
Just eyeballing the comment chart above, it looks like we hit 800 comments each day with the exception of one. That is an outstanding result.
It is important to note that all these are based upon what was made through the Leofinance interface. Comments made from other frontends are not included in these numbers.
Engagement is vital to the forward progress of this platform. Commenting is helping to differentiate Leofinance from other blockchain applications. It is also a means of user retention since we are working to make Leofinance a welcoming place.
We all have a role to play in the success of Leofinance. For those of us who are working the keyboards, this week was a greater success than last.

I love all the engagement that we are seeing on Leo now. I also like that LeoFinance is clearly encouraging it. The curation changes have been good for the user and good for the community. The comments are like adrenaline for the blood that pours through the LEO Finance community and it is quite great to see the speed is going with. Engagement doesn't mean only that you say hi and bye, but that you asimilitate the content as well. And that is the path to growth and with each of us growing we all do!

I remember we once talked about how it's possible to like have about ,1500 comments in one day some weeks or even Matter of days past, with the way it's going, we'd have close to 2000 comments in a day record breaking

This interaction via comments is really great on Leofinance.
I started back in august on Hive sharing photography posts (one of my other hobbies).
I was really excited to see the appreciation in upvotes on my posts, but the number of comments is really disappointing I think. Especially for the subject photography where everyone has an opinion about a photo.
I just spend more time on Leofinance than on Hive at the moment.

Comments have the additional ability to keep people spending more time on the website. I am not an expert either @vimukthi but I do know it adds to the pile. Search engines love dynamic sites and comments are constantly changing things. As the same time, the total "size" of the site gets bigger because each comment is its own page.
So I would say they help in many ways. As for the exact SEO, that I cannot answer.

Engaging through commenting is one of those things that becomes exponential.
It has been lots more fun engaging through the comment section lately, sometimes that is where the best information is and where you can get further details.

This is exactly true.
Because of the amount of (good!) comments that can be found under many articles I'm both more likely to actually read what others have to say but also to interact with them myself. I rarely ever commented on Hive but I comment a lot on Leo!

We are glad you do. It is all part of the "Hivemind" concept.
Any post expresses the views/experience of the author. However, when comments are added, more is added outside just the author.
This really makes for a more powerful user (reader) experience.

This helps to make commenting fun and I'm sure my "time on site" much more than 12 minutes, likely hours. I don't know when the new weekly chart start, but my goal is to br right up there with you. It'd be nice if there was a "comment counter" maybe next to our icon so we could easily see our contributions.

Very cool to see that in addition to Flat Curation, LeoFinance can be ahead of other communities with growth and interaction through comments.
Another example ice for Hive and the second tier communities can follow. In the past it was a very rare thing to see comments on posts that were not of big accounts like Orça and whales.
By initiative 10 we are proving that it could also mean something profitable for those who do it because there are positive votes being distributed to those who participate.
I hope that next week I will see my name on the list because I believe that this week I will be more free from my activities outside of Hive.
