RE: Daily Crypto Markets Live Blog: Happy Bitcoin Legal Tender Day (09/07/21)

The first official Bitcoin purchase by a country was done today.

This is literally history in the making folks. We are seeing a nation purchasing Bitcoin. I imagine this is not what Satoshi envisioned but here it is.

We have the opportunity to make some money off governments and Wall Street. Eventually, they will control most, if not all, of the Bitcoin supply.

Nevertheless, those in early can ride the price run up.

It's a funny coincidence that it happens on the same day as Brazil celebrates its independency from Portugal

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Maybe not a coincidence. There could be bigger forces at work.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Definitely not a coincidence! 🤞

Siete de Septiembre (7th of September), a day that may become a holiday in El Salvador. Their Independence Day is on the 15th of September, nine days away.

There is no such thing as coincidence in my opinion.

That's cool! How do you guys generally celebrate this day? Do parades happen?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes, usually there are parades but right now the political situation here is very unstable so rather than celebrate, the enemies of the president are going to protest for his removal and his supporters are going to protest for his permanence.

We'll see how that goes

Lol. Politics screws up all the fun little good things. Screw it!

Have a happy Sete de Setembro. Here in the United States Brazilian Day, as it is called here, will see a celebration in New York City near Times Square! This is a look at the celebration back in 2019.

Thanks!

Yea, I remember hearing about that celebration! If I remember correctly, there used to be concerts featuring famous Brazilian artists too.

Probably didn't happen the same way recently due to COVID but it used to be pretty big I think

They now HODL 400 Bitcoins. And they will be buying more. Celebrating this day as #BitcoinDay on Twitter.

Everyone's going to watch El Salvador today and for many months to come. I am looking forward to seeing how they upgrade their infra and support Bitcoin transactions all over the country.

It will be interesting to see what happens if and when the price doubles to $100k over the next few months. Or tanks back down to $20k....

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Haha. Ofcourse I don't want it to tank but yes, it would be really interesting both ways. 😂 Roller Coaster Ride.

They need that BTC for the USD 30 airdrop everyone in El Salvador is supposed to receive. Once that's covered, who knows about the rest.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea, I think the government will hold some of the BTC they bought.

I read that they said they would be buying more

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

After 10 years, countries that will hold more BTC they will be doing their own space missions without any external help. LOL! 😍🚀

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hehehe that could be the case indeed

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think this scheme is limited! 😂 So hurry up.

If this experiment in El Salvador fails, it's back to plain old USD. Still, lessons learned from the failure can be used by other nations as they make their own experiments with cryptocurrencies.

If this experiment succeeds, then we will be witnessing an epic transformation of commerce and finance. It may even reach the point where Americans immigrate to El Salvador in large numbers.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Last I heard, El Salvador had purchased 400 BTC. I don't know if that will be it or if more will be bought by the government there.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea, I heard that's what the had before the deadline but I also heard they would continue to buy so who knows how much they will end up with

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

There's no limit to the BTC which needs to be purchased, only a minimum.
