Immigration can be a controversial topic but there is no denying that it is a very important aspect of society and it plays a major role in the world's economy.

It's no surprise that some companies are now targeting that potential market. Fair is aiming to be a digital bank and financial services platform for immigrants.

Yes but the problem I see is whether or not the job market can support it. With automation taking place, I see less need for cheap labor.

That's true, but they are not all cheap labor. Some of them are highly qualified people that are looking for better life opportunities or trying to escape totalitarian regimes.

Yes not all will be cheap labor but I think at least half will. Also automation is aiming for more than just the cheap jobs. So who knows how many of them will still be employed in the job market.

Unskilled labor is being automated out. The "advantage" some countries have with immigration is that they are facing demographic issues. Thus they can absorb the immigrants easier into the work force (and tax them).

The countries that are facing demographic issues are going to have to depend upon immigration to grow. If not, they will end up like Japan. Much of the West is going to see that along with China.

The next few decades, from that perspective, are not going to be very good to those countries. Some will fair better than others.

Yes, that is going to be the trend. That's why I believe there is a lot of potential in that kind of market.

It seems that some entrepreneurs would agree with that point of view.
