I agree. I think technology always has a positive net effect in the long run. Unfortunately, the transition is not smooth for everyone and it's something that must be addressed

Transition periods tend to be difficult even for those who embrace them. It's transition periods which give organized labor grief, too, since it takes a while to figure out how best to game the new system in its favor. It's one reason for opposition to labor-saving technology.
