I've been mining CryptoCurrency for a little over a year now. From GPU mining BTC, to Asic miners for Dodge/LTC, and now still rocking the Helium miner(my personal favorite). I've even dabbled in certain "digital miners".
However, recently, I came across a new project on the Hive blockchain called Hivebits.
What is Hivebits (HBIT)?
Much like LUV or PIZZA, which are comment-based tip/engagement/appreciation tokens, @hivebits works in a similar fashion, but with a unique twist.
HBIT can be "mined" by using the command !hivebits in the comments section of a post from any of the various Hive platforms. No just one command, but !HBIT, !hbit, and $HBIT work just the same.
That's not the twist. That comes in the fact that when you comment with the command, it sends .9 of an HBIT token to you. The .01 does, in fact, go to the owner of the post you are commenting on. A 90%/10% split helps to help deter spamming.
Bitcoin is mined by effort, by "proof-of-work". Similarly, HBIT is mined by effort, call it "proof-of-comment".
Unlike, many of the other comment/reward tokens you DO NOT have to hold a certain amount at the time you use the command in the comments. The only limitation is that you have a 24hr cool down between each time you use it.
While the use cases are still being explored by creator @crrdlx , Hivebits are tradable to swap or sell.
So as you accumulate your Hivebits, perhaps to sell, swap for another Hive asset, or even keep stacking it up for future use cases, you are also spreading the word about Hivebits across the ecosystem. This alone increases the value of this fun and profitable comment/reward token.
I'm beginning to grow fond of this token much as I have with the $PIZZA token, and since this project is still in its infancy, it has a lot of growth potential in the Hive ecosystem!
