I don't think Bitcoin's niche is "store of value".
It's security and censorship resistance of money only.

Bitcoin is the hardest network to attack due to high hashpower, easy to host low-overhead-cost nodes, and extremely minimal upgrades due to static code that stays simple, robust, and dependable.

Maximalism is fun sometimes. I totally get it. I'm already becoming maximalist on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Hive. Everything else is just kinda shit. The sooner we get into the space the more set in our ways we become.

Yeah, definitely agree. There are some other good coins though, but they're very rare. Filecoin is an example, with the only worry being its full diluted supply which is huge. But its tekonomics are great, and the blockchain is already running at max capacity.

Since they have a mechanism similar to EIP-1559 already implemented, coins are already being burned in big quantities.

Eth still needs the EIP-1559 to be implemented before I have 100% conviction, but I already hold a lot.

Having more options is always great. Bitcoin limited supply is pro and cons at the same time. A lot will feel left behind and will not enter and start their thing. Maybe its to early now, but at some point it will happen. There need to be game into the game concept so to speak, where groups can form and do their thing.

Being a maximalist is a little much. However, it is an easy and decent strategy especially if playing cycles. I think if just Hodling, people should consider the total market cap and take a more distributed approach. 60% BTC, 10% ETH, 20% in other favorite top 30 cryptos (say 5% in 6) and the remaining 10% in YOLO stuff (5~10 picks). Of course YOLO on some low cap could pay out better, but man is that risky.

I am screaming the same message bro! And I will agree, it is extremely hard to build these communities and get people to see your vision. Building @hivelist has been an extremely humbling experience, but one that nobody can take away from me. But I know in the long term it is all going to pay off!
