We are delighted to introduce threads247 to our dear Leofinance community. This group idea was started around 5 months ago and although we have not been too consistent, we decided to take it up again right now and never to go back. Hence, the reason for this introduction.
Why threads247
We were excited when the Leo team launched threads - a micro-blogging project introduced some months back. Its something so special on Hive and it has brought massive value to the ecosystem. Because of our love for the project, we decided to support it by being active users. Then we thought of how else to contribute to Leo threads positively, that was how the idea of threads247 came about.
Many curious friends on threads have repeatedly asked the meaning of the tag #threads247 and this is a nice opportunity to explain it. #threads247 means that as a group of friends, we always want to stay active on threads Everyday(24 hours), all (7) days of the week. Interestingly, majority of us have kept to that. So in order to make it easy for us to track the activity of our friends and support them more, we asked everyone of us to use #threads247 tag.
The Curation project
Beyond just the tag, we wish to build a strong curation account using the power of the crowd - although still a small group now. So when we started 5 months ago, we asked our friends that are interested to do two things:
- Make or engage with at least 1 thread a day, every day of the week
- Send at least 1 hive to @threads247 every week
As agreed, we gathed the savings at the end of each week (every Saturday), swap it to Leo and power up. Our target was and still is to grow the account to 200k LP in the next 1 year and use it to support active users of thread.
We stuck to our goal of threading everyday till now. But somehow, we lost focus on the savings and curation. The savings was done by members for just the first 2 months. But now, we are back and mean business concerning the savings.
Moving forward
We will always make many threads every day of the week. And for the savings and curation, we are back and never to go back. This is an open project. Anyone is free to join us. We will not only curate members that are making the contribution. But, we will always check the tag and support anyone that is on threads 24/7. Yes we will check if a user of the tag beyond our group is active on threads everyday, in the last 7 days before we support them with votes.
Leo Power Up day for August 2023 is approaching and we would like to kick off again by sending contributions and powering up on 15th of this month. Afterwards, we will continue our weekly savings and power ups.
Curation work
Many members of the team helped us each day to monitor the tag and curate according to the agreed weight and frequency. Going forward, we would appreciate having 1 volunteer curator each day in order to make it decentralized and spread the load.

You can join us. Feel free to use our tag #threads247 on threads if you published a thread consistently for the last 7 days. You can also get more involved by sending at least 1 hive every week to @threads247. All funds are converted to Leo and powered up.
We look forward to achieving great things with this idea in the future - starting from now.
