He tried to steal third base. Dumb move down by 4 runs. You are right nice play by the catcher.
oh so they can run even if the guy with the bat doesnt actually hit the ball?
Yes it is called stealing. You can take off running but the other team can get you out. So when the pitcher delivers they run and the catcher need sto try and through them out.
Ahh I see. The catcher does a lot more than I initially thought. To the untrained eye it looks like he is just hanging back there waiting to catch the ball LOL
LOL yes they do a lot more. And blocking those pitches isnt easy. But having a strong arm is a necessity for a catcher.
