If you had attended one of the onboarding webinars that HivePH conducted previously the team will always emphasize on building your own network on-chain and off-chain. Some may find it a tedious task, but others find joy in having an interaction with their fellow Hiver.
Currently, I am working on a spreadsheet that shows some data relating to Filipino users in Hive. I find it fun, as somehow this is related to the work that I am doing outside the blockchain (data interpretation and reconciliation). Now to back-up the said claims if engagement holds value nowadays here's a snippet from the report.
Reviewing the image above you will see that @ifarmgirl up to @pinkchic are getting wonderful rewards for being active in the blockchain. The average payout that they have doesn't go down to $1.00 which is absolutely outstanding already.
But does engagement is the only factor that can give you more upvotes/rewards?
It will be not for sure, but it can serve as a guide.
In the image above, you will notice outgoing comments from 0 up to 28 given by the users to other people. Rewards-wise their post isn't that bad I guess, but if you will see the number of contents created versus the comments given to other people isn't that proportional.
Content created will also play a part in the reward scheme. Post from Actifit and Dbuzz doesn't earn that much compared to the other blogs created. But if some people already added your name to their automatic voting trail, then everything will be easy right?
People will only care about your content unless you start interacting with them in general. This has been true in social media and even in Hive. Though we are not getting that many people whine about their rewards anymore ( none that I know of).
So what do we get from here?
Every one of us has our own goals when we join Hive. Some want to earn quick money by creating content for even a small fraction of a dollar ( because it is free money! Facebook can never give you one for sure). Others are more into making genuine interactions with other people and having genuine friendships ( while earning money on the side for sure).
You still do what you think will work for you and yes I would always agree that engagement in Hive with fellow Hivers is a must if you want others to notice you and reap some rewards in the long run.
How about you? Do you think engagement really has value here in Hive?

Awww, you are so unique, bro. I do not even know how to make something like this. Hehe. Thanks for the display. Honestly, I am not aware of it. I am just enjoying meeting friends here, and thanks as always to HivePh for the continuous support. I genuinely appreciate everything. And, of course, it feels so good to meet amazing people like you. Indeed, you are incredible, bro. Thanks for the mention, and have a wonderful day.
You are amazing too Cj! I cannot push these numbers nor become close to it. This serves as an inspiration for me to improve my game as I work with this tracker I also work in checking what are the stuff that I can reflect on.
Keep on engaging to others and sprinkle those pixie dust to people who are in need.
I might host an engagement contest in the future too just working on the mechanics per se.
Wow! That is so interesting, bro, and I am very much willing to join. I am always here for HivePh, even on the least I can do. You know, I am constantly feeling like a newbie every day, and I am happy to learn something new. I came here without much idea about Hive, but then your webinars guided me in my blogging journey, hehe. I was there last time during your webinar, which is an onboarding program, and you explained it so well.
Thanks for the appreciation bro, but this is just me. See you around. And you deserve a pizza today.
I think that engagement on posts moving forward will be based primarily on the content that you are writing. Although I am relatively new to the HIVE platform, I have had a decent amount of viewers and upvotes, I have gone into different Communities and have noticed that people do view your post but not upvote, perhaps you are right on the Community Aspect, but eventually will vote if they appreciate your content. A good friend and fellow Hiver OG said to me, nothing is guaranteed, just produce quality content and it will happen organically.
Thanks Mango for dropping by sorry took some time to respond to this life has been quite busy.
Yes I agree to this, some will just view and forget to comment and upvote the post. Most likely people will comment to such content if they already made an interaction with other person around ( still not a guarantee but the chances to achieving is higher than not engaging at all.)
+1 to this and make sure that the tags and community where it is posted is correct as well. Some people are missing that out and keep the post in their own blog only.
It's awesome that you were able to collate the data, TP :) Whilst engaging with others take time and effort, it can be fun. Glad to have made it on the list of engagers as I've been slacking off for sometime 😊
Thank you for appreciating the work.
I do plan to have it consolidated and try to post it like once per month just like Asher's engagement league but will focus on the Filipinos onchain as I believe we have multiple users here too.
Hindi halata! You got the top spot pa nyan ha. !PIZZA
On any platform.. Engagement really matters.. that's how we build our name and reputation.
I'm quite guilty here though as my engagement decreased since we moved to this new place.. Always busy at work and seldom have time to engage during the day. Night time spend in writing and a little engaging before sleeping. But I was surprised to see my name on the list 😊
!PIZZA
You are doing an amazing job Jane! Can't imagine how you juggle posting and engaging hours for sure I can't do that much haha.
But I will be better hopefully next month when I try to collate the new report hopefully I will reach at the very least 500 comments this month.
This is great article tp. Magcoocmment na ko ng todo2 😆
PUSSSHHH nako for sure makaka angat ka nyan. Tamang tama pag naayos ko na yung sa pa contest ni Hiveph para dito sa engagement kineme.
Thank you @tpkidkai for giving us these insights and the data you presented is very impressive. I may be new to this platform but I am slowly learning the platform and with the help from you guys who wrote interesting topics it will surely help us a lot.
For me, engagement will really do wonders in blogging because without engagement you will never succeed unless you are already a celebrity in your field or you're having extraordinary talents. The rewards will follow soon, first, we have to engage in my own opinion, I think.
I appreciate that Ed! Hive isn't as complex as people think. Being a blogger in Web 2.0 is much more complicated than this as you need to learn to code and other SEO stuff. It is required here as well but then again, making a target market with the content and audience is relatively easy here.
This is the mindset that we try to instill in the new guys. Hard work and networking plays a lot here. If folks wouldn't bother engaging with other people, most likely they will just be gone in the void.
Thanks a lot, @tpkidkai I agree with you that when you're learning Web 2.0 it is really more complicated and needs a lot of research, time, and patience.
Napasama ako. Ayee!
Hahah bigatin ka nga mas mahusay pa ang engagement mo sa ibang users dito. Keep it up nako for sure you will be reaping the rewards on this platform in the future.
Ayee, sana mag dilang anghel ka. hahaha!

The truth is engaging on Hive give more attention to your account and the more you interact with people the more fun hive gets
During the day am always busy at work but at night am always free to comment around so that I can meet new people on Hive
Just like I am commenting here right now
There are lots of good content creator on hive which I love reading their articles
I found yours too a very knowledgeable one because I never thought of checking out for people that engage most on Hive until I read your article just now
Keep it up I love it 👌
I can relate to this work is a must then we insert Hive if we have spare time. It takes commitment to be consistent and sometimes quite tedious but interaction here is waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy better than in the leading social media apps more often than not the content creator isn't responding at all to us.
Thank you for that at times some people wonder if engagement will play in your success here though it is not 100% it can give you a boost in building your network far cross to different communities around.
Yes engagement is the key to grow your account on Hive
This is interesting. Good read, grabe @pinkchic humahataw 🎉🎉 Way to go sis!
