All our lives we have been told that saving is important for the accumulation of capital and it may well be true that saving allows us to accumulate money and on many occasions allows us to accumulate wealth that can be inherited, I have no doubt that saving is an excellent vehicle for achieving wealth.
What I don't like about the traditional methods used to save money is that quality of life is often sacrificed for the accumulation of money. I think it is important to reflect on the importance of money versus the importance of time and quality of life.
On the one hand saving leads to wealth, but on the other hand time leads to quality of life, many people in their eagerness to save money end up wasting time and ultimately their quality of life.
A popular saying goes that you can get more money but you can't get more time, with this in mind I constantly ask myself, why do people choose to save money and waste time?
From my point of view it does not seem logical to me to save resources that you will not be able to use to improve your quality of life and that of your family, saving time should be fundamental if we want to have a decent life and not just have money saved in the bank.
In Venezuela it is very common to see people who lose hours in the acquisition of a product or a service, this loss of time they do it just to save a few cents, the Venezuelan got used to that it is okay to lose many hours of his day to save a few cents.
From my point of view it is a real madness and it is not worth doing a queue that lasts hours just to save a few cents, I deeply believe that if we decide to have an acceptable quality of life the main thing you must manage is your time.
Saving time and constantly improving habits over time will allow us to save much more money and have a better quality of life, time is the only resource on this planet that can not be obtained again, all people have a limited number of days on this earth, that is why we must make the most of them. never sacrifice time to get some kind of savings that does not represent a significant change in our lives.
Wasting time should be seen as a bad habit which should be eradicated, if a product or service can be obtained in less time and with a relatively reasonable cost, my recommendation is that you would rather save time than money, because as incredible as it may seem, saving time as the days go by allows you to save more money throughout your life.
In conclusion, when we talk about saving, the first resource you should manage and save is time, you should never sacrifice time and quality of life to save a few cents, standing in line to get a service or a product and spending too much time just to save a few cents will eventually destroy your productivity and make you more dependent on cheap and poor quality things.
