Habe FOMO bekommen und mir um 10K Euro Hive gekauft und probiere jetzt mit der Hive to HBD-Konversion den Spread auszunutzen.
Hatte Schwierigkeiten die HIVE von der Börse auf Hive zu bekommen, da die Wallet auf Bittrex wieder down ist. Habe es zuerst über die Hive-Engine probiert, aber die Liquidität war ziemlich gering, die Slippage groß, und habe mit den Fees circa 500 Euro Verlust gemacht.
Dann habe ich über Binance getraded und das ist gegangen. Aber der Hive-Preis ist inzwischen auch gestiegen.
Bin gespannt wie sich der Trade entwickelt. Genaueres weiß ich dann nach 3,5 Tagen (Donnerstag Abend), da die Konvertierung so lange dauert. Spannend. Aber ich denke, dass es sich bei diesem HBD-Kurs immer noch auszahlt in HBD zu konvertieren, falls ihr liquide HIVE zur Verfügung habt. NFA.
Überlege jetzt ernsthaft auch einen Teil in HBD anzulegen, auch wenn das ziemlich riskant ist, aber die 20%-Zinsen sind natürlich verlockend.
Was denkt ihr, ist der Grund, warum HBD plötzlich durch die Decke gegangen ist? Habt ihr auch Hive in HBD konvertiert?

What do you guys say? Hive Dollar pumped temporarily to $3 this morning and still floats around $1.60.
Got FOMO and bought Hive for 10K Euro and now trying to take advantage of the spread with the Hive to HBD conversion.
Had trouble getting the HIVE from the exchange to Hive as the wallet on Bittrex is down again. Tried it first via Hive-Engine, but liquidity was quite low, slippage huge, and made about a 500 Euro loss with fees alone.
Then I traded via Binance and that worked. But the Hive price has also pumped in the meantime.
I am curious how the trade will go. I will know the outcome more exactly after 3.5 days (Thursday evening), because the conversion takes so long. But I think that at this HBD rate it still pays to convert to HBD if you have liquid HIVE available. NFA.
Seriously considering investing some in HBD now too, even though it's pretty risky, but the 20% interest is tempting of course.
What do you think is the reason why HBD suddenly went through the roof? Have you also converted Hive to HBD?

Hm, ich hab´ umgekehrt HBD in Hive konvertiert (leider nur ein paar), da der pump nicht nachhaltig sein wird und wenn HBD dann wieder unten ist, ich für die Hive dann mehr HBD zurückkaufen kann.
Das geht natürlich auch, wenn man liquide HBD zur Verfügung hat, aber nicht über die Konvertierungsfunktion sondern über den internen Markt, damit man vom gepumpten Kurs profitiert.
Da war wohl jemand HBD einkaufen ;)

I saw the high price today and was wonder what the reason might be.
I thought about converting some HBD in Hive but mine is locked in savings at the moment and I figure the price will go down before I can make the conversion.
I'm still not exactly sure how the conversion from HBD to Hive works in the Hive wallet.
Ich verstehe nicht warum du jetzt mit Hive die HBD kaufen willst...die sind doch aktuell viel zu teuer.
Ich würde doch jetzt eher HBD gegen Hive tauschen?

Über die Konvertierungsfunktion bekommt man HBD als würde er nur $1 kosten. Dann kann man die HBD zu HIVE traden und bekommt den höheren aktuellen Kurs. Allerdings fällt dafür eine 5% Gebühr an, und man bekommt die zweite Hälfte erst nach 3.5 Tagen konvertiert (Kursrisiko).
Ah, das wusste ich nicht mit der Konvertierungsfunktion.

Ich habe inzwischen ziemlich viel in HBD liegen. Eine Frage: wenn man Hive in HBD konvertiert wird dann der aktuelle HBD Kurs verwendet oder genau ein Dollar? Weil sonst würde es sich ja für dich nicht rentieren den Spread auszunutzen.
Genau, es wird HIVE in HBD konvertiert als wäre er $1 wert, das ist der Trick an der ganzen Sache, von dem man profitieren kann.

I have no idea why HBD went through the roof but I did exchange some HBD into Hive for around $1.6. I could get back more HBD than I started if I converted it back into HBD on the internal market.

Habe an anderer Stelle gelesen, dass viele Transaktionen und Volumen von upbit das bewirkt haben. Allerdings hab ich das nicht überprüft. Natürlich hab ich kaum liquide HIVE noch HBD :D alles schön gestaked.
Kurz vor dem Pump ist der Preis etwas nach nach unten gegangen, könnte sein, dass das ein Wal dann ausgenutzt hat und dann Bots und Anleger dachten, der Coin geht durch die Decke und sind auf den Coin aufgesprungen. Pump & Dump. Volumen hat sich auch verdreifacht. Zahlt sich aus ein bisschen etwas liquide zu haben, um solche Pumps auszunutzen. Weiß noch nicht, ob ich die HBD staken soll. Vielleicht wäre es sogar besser einfach auf so einen Pump zu warten.
Beim Staken muss man halt nicht immer monitoren :). Ist etwas bequemer. Aber klar mit Trades zum richtigen Zeitpunkt kann man sicher immer mehr Umsatz generieren.
Liegt eventuell an https://packs.wrestlingorganization.online/market neues Spiel in dem die Karten mit HBD bezahlt werden müssen?
Eher unwahrscheinlich. So hoch ist das Tradingvolumen da meiner Ansicht nach nicht.

You have to use the other conversion, HIVE to HBD, which converts to HBD as if it was $1, and then sell the HBD for the higher market price back to HIVE for example. But the conversion cost 5% fee and you get the second half only in 3.5 days later (price risk).
It is pretty nice to experience the progress of witnessing HBD pump up so high which is an opportunity of acquiring enough Hive when converting HBD to Hive
Yes I converted many Hive to HBD. I was having problems of withdrawal at Bittrex and now I only deal with Binance.
Perhaps the demand for transferring balances to HBD significantly contributed to this sudden rise

I had a couple of HBD but convert takes 3.5 days. So I just leave it there in my wallet !
