One point to consider - Hive accounts are, or can be, anonymous. I think there would be a problem if 2 or more of the players at a table are the same human.
Yes, this is a concern and challenge. This has been dealt with with IP checks, bot checks, and collusion checks types of things. Also a reason why there is not a poker game like this one Hive and other blockchains as one of many challenges. Something to think about.
