Some of the People who have been around forever will remember the Byteball drop we received in 2018. It was for a promotion for their new wallet.

If you still have them sitting around somewhere, take a peek and see if you can find them.
I sold mine, but I remember it took x number of Byteballs to make a Gbyte and it looks like it is pumping.
If I remember right, I had a few million.

Anyway, it was also a fun trip down memory lane. They gave these out based on Reputation and it created a typical fuss.

OHHH... Did the contract expire

Lost as in all my info for it was on a now-dead drive that wasn’t backed up. Also the credentials for some BTS tokens.
Nobody to blame but myself...
Oh, man sorry to hear it.
Yup yup. I sold off some initially but still had a bit.
Nice

I am a couple deep getting a head start on #beersaturday but I found it in a desktop wallet.
Apparently, I have 0.62279 gb which go for 102.29 each which would equate to $63.70 USD?
Whoot! That's cool
I don't think that's the same coin.
Edit - it seems that it is the same coin rebranded but it must be some different denomination. Does 1 GBYTE = 1,000,000,000 Bytes perhaps?
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/obyte/
The coin trading as GBYTE on Bittrex is OBYTE, it has a maximum supply of only one million coins.
I had 343 million of them, and by that price my airdrop would be worth $34 billion.
It's the same coin but it's confusing because they display it in different ways, kind of like megabyte, gigabyte, etc.
The symbol for OByte is Gbyte, which is already confusing. In the wallet, it defaults to showing as bytes (at least it did in mine). You can change it to show as GB in the wallet settings. For instance, I have 60 million 'bytes' but when I show it as GB, it is only 0.06.. or 0.06 Gbytes. It's kind of dumb if you ask me.
I said the gbyte is equal to x number of bytes. I wasn't trying to say they were each worth a $100. lol
I was just confused by the bittrex price + name change when I first saw your post.
I have to say thank you for this heads up. I remember the fuss back then and also how many sold it right away. I've checked mine and it worth $22.98 right now.

Thanks for reminding me I have $80 😁. Rounds on me next weekend.
Oh dang I totally forgot about this lol might need to see if I still have it in my wallet. Just goes to show you something totally worthless one day can be worth thousands years later in crypto. STACK EVERY CRYPTO YOU CAN!
Thanks for the heads up; I’ll check mine out 😁
Nice. Just sold my last little sliver. 💲
I need to see if I can find my wallet again. lol
ahaha I do remember this damn, Literally checked this last month and apparently couldnt sync due to losing phone that had account on it.
the contract would of matured as well....
😡 a n n o y i n g
haha, yeah I got that airdrop. Was so annoying because I was just starting to build my account at the time and didn't get a lot. I'll have to dig those up and see what it's worth. I have the key somewhere.
actually just installed the wallet and recovered my backup. I've got like 60 million and it's worth $7.43.... lol!
I also have a bunch of coins in the wallet called Future by FutureShock. No idea what that is.
Sold mine a long time ago...also this post makes me feel old.
Relax, 10 years in blockchain is just one year and three months in real life
haha we are getting crypto old!
I remember claiming them, but i have not idea where that was.
This is quite nostalgic. I lost my wallet or something, honestly don't remember.
Finally a good chance for selling them!
I converted them to Hive some time ago. I think I got about 300 Hive for them.
I had them all, but then I could not update the wallet and gave up before formatting the laptop.
I have around 100000 which current value is around $11 I guess.
I might still have the password. How much did it go up?

I claimed wit three accounts and sold my first half but the rest were locked for 12 months.
I'm sure that i can find them somewhere.
Oh! I need to check mine too! Thank you for the heads up.
I can't find mine. Didn't they change their name? Or was it something else that got changed to Byteball? 😕
