80% of new users probably will not stay, because it is such a niche. This churn is not a measure of failure or fragility, it's a measure of preference.

I agree. As much as we wanted to have mass adoption immediately, not many will stay. It will probably happen long term, not in a 1~2 years time.

What is mass adoption really? Hive is the next facebook-like platform?

I initially thought about Facebook, but there's nothing social about Facebook anymore. I'm now thinking about thousands of niche specific blog sites, each with their own vibrant communities, that are bootstrapped in Hive.
