 It has become a very hard task to get a NIN this days,u get to pay a lot of money,and get a lot of your time wasted, only to be asked to return the next day and this continues in circles but the question is what causes all this let’s explore |

| To start with.,one of the reasons behind behind this is THE HIGH LEVEL OF DEMAND of this Nin, since the Nigerian Government has made it compulsory for all citizens and residents alike to blink their Nin to their respective sim cards,this has led to a surge and increase in the demand for it overwhelming the registration units thus leading to delays. |
| Secondly, Technical challenges : Biometric data such as fingerprints and facial recognition are among the procedures gorThe Nin registration , technical issues with the software used for these could lead to delays and bring difficulties in getting a Nin. |
| In addition, there’s another problem of limited registration facilities,which is another factor facilitating the difficulties being faced in order to get their Nin, due to the limited number of facilities,it results to long queues and eventually imminent delay

| Furthermore, insufficient personnels is another problem plaguing the commission This leads to a poor workforce thus making the delays last longer, even those that are available are mostly new to these kinds of technology and with little or no training ,thus creating problems, during the registrations |
| Moreover ,the citizens lack the awareness :in the sense that most people may not be aware of the requirement to obtain a NIN,which would most likely cause distractions and delays |
| However, things have not gone beyond control,I’m my thoughts there are still steps that can be taken to reduce stress delays and confusions, associated with the Nin registration, this includes: |
| • | First,the creation of new registration units:The Government should set up more registration units In different locations to reduce the distance people have to travel to get registered making it more easy y convenient for people to get registered ,in addition extending the working hours of registration centers to accommodate individuals whom may have work or other important commitment during regular working hours will also help to reduce the stress . |
| • | Furthermore , introducing an online registration system where individuals can failing necessary details and upload necessary documents from the comfort of their homes will drastically reduce the need for physical visit to this registration center, thus reducing stress for the individuals and the staff as well. |
| • | There is also need to deploy mobile registration centers to remote areas and villages where people may have very limited access to this registration units thus bringing the registration centers and unit closer to the people and making it more accessible to the masses. |
| • | Extensive public awareness campaigns should be conducted to educate people on the registration processes which will help them to know what to do on arrival at this registration unit toss reducing the amount of delay and confusions there. |
| • | I also think that if they should set up dedicated helplines support centers which will help answer queries or questions which the public has regarding this registration processes it will go a long way to help reduce the crowd and stress associated with registering a Nin |
| • | I also feel that simplifying documentation requirements, i.e: making It easy for registration would make it easier for the individuals to gather the necessary documents .this might include accepting alternative forms of verification ,thus reducing the number of documents required. |
| • | Furthermore, implementing an appointment system can schedule specific times that’ll be comfortable with them to come and get registered, will help in managing the flow of people and to a larger extent, minimize delays, at the registration centers

| • | Most importantly, Continuous improvement of both equipments, technology, personnel management,and registration techniques , this can be done by regularly accessing the registration process and gathering feedback from individuals to identify areas for improvement.and act on these feedbacks to make the registration process even more efficient and easier |
| • | however these are just my thoughts I feel that if this steps are taken into practice the government might even find out it will help reduce the amount of stress and relieve the workers and individuals of distress which will enhance the registration process to get a Nin, cuz I have been a victim and knows how it feels let me know your thoughts on this. |
