First off, a big shout out - and massive thanks - to those people who've spoken out and stood up for freedom of speech.
Financial penalties on posts (down voting) - for not liking what a person says, is not - from my understanding - is in the intended 'spirit of things' on the block chain - nor is it the intended function of the down voting mechanism. i.e if it's not plagiaristic in nature, or spam.
ONE THING IS FOR SURE - IT WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN.
(which is fantastic news for all you guys ! - as you will see below).
Have you ever considered what 'leverage' really means?
LEVERAGE:
The power to influence people and get the results you want...
....to use something that you already have in order to achieve something new or better.

...if this definition is applied to the Hive ecosystem, then leverage is staking power. (and any 'influence' being mostly as a result of that stake).
Now, lets discuss the midwit...
The ‘midwit’ is smarter than a ‘dimwit’, using the IQ as the metric. (see below).
The midwit is not exactly renown for being able to think on their own.
Or to think or hold independently arrived at opinions
These qualities means that they are perfect 'sponges' for any propaganda that's being pushed by the political class, media, big pharma, the WHO, the WEF..you get the picture... They see 'the authority' as the final arbiter of truth.
(they really do, this is not sarcasm).
They have an uncanny, natural talent - they can learn all the 'correct opinions' of the day that the authority decides to spew out..
And once programmed, these people are capable of spreading propaganda most effectively.
They copy the very same terms as the 'experts'- in the attempt to convey legitimacy. (hence the fear of engaging in any conversation that challenges what they have to say).
They can say it, but they do not understand it and can offer no critical thought or original input into the conversation.
It’s impossible to talk to , debate with , or try to, change their minds.
They drive establishment narratives unthinkingly. Thinking is not their forte.
Their lives are not their own as they are unthinking cattle, and by extension - neither are their opinions.
They spew whatever it is that they're told to spew (and they actually think it's a result of their own thought processes).
They are capable of great destruction.
Why do I mention 'the midwit' yet again?
Because it's connected very much , to Hive.
After this last couple of days, and (in my opinion) unwarranted down votes on four of my posts, it's glaringly apparent that a 'certain mentality' is prevalent with stakeholders.
This I can assure you, is the death knell of this ecosystem.
wait for it....
....Or.... it might just be the success of the platform.
It can be either in fact - but not both...
And it all depends on what your definition of success is..
What does 'success' mean - in terms of Hive?
Token price...?
Userbase size..?
There's a problem here, isn't there?
We all know it, deep down - if you've been here long enough.
One that's never been addressed properly, simply because the right questions have never been asked.
The continual, four year long attempts, of trying to'make the square fit into a circle'.
It's not a new problem.
The hard fork away from Steem solved nothing in this regard.
And it is a BIG problem.
I know what the problem is.
(after 4 years, the itch that I've had - non stop since joining steem - has now been fully satiated...Whoooohooo !!!).
...I know what the problem is.
The last 48 hours has answered - finally - my four years of frustrated rants about the block chain .
...All my frustrations I've had, stemming entirely from not being able to scratch that goddamn itch...Until today.
You ain't gonna like hearing what it - the problem - is ....
Or the answer.
You can ignore reality but you can't ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.
And the reality is this - virtually zero growth (on both platforms), in four years....

Question:
HOW do you leverage something - when the leverage that you think you have, is not seen in the same terms by the person(s) or groups, that you're trying to apply leverage to ?
Or, to put it another way (for any midwits reading this)...how do you sell a painting to a blind man ?
Do you know why the people that 'see the light' get paid big bucks?
It's because they can see the light, when others can't...
The last time I had this kind of 'eureka moment', I changed the direction of an 800 million dollar industry - for two fashion seasons. (in today's money).
I'll get into it much more tomorrow.
I won't be giving you the answers though.
