With this question I flew with imagination, I do not think I would have lasted long as a caveman. But as everything could have points for and against, much more against. Hahaha
I would not be the strongest, nor the one with the best skills like hunting, fishing, running, but because of my small size I could be difficult to detect and move carefully throughout the area, that would definitely be my strong point, as well as being able to observe the territory and move according to it, something that currently suits me very well, I am to observe and think options before acting, to anticipate, even a little to what to face (sometimes I have a bad time thinking too much).
Going back to being a caveman in an era where technology was zero, I don't think I would have invented any survival object, negative points for me. But as I am an observer, I could see other options such as seeing in advance some danger nearby, some way to gather easily accessible food, fruits, some leaves, defenseless or easy to hunt animals.
Since I am not strong I would have to hunt or face an animal that I could beat, something small and not fast. I could also help by stealing eggs and hatchlings when the mothers are distracted (lots of imagination) I think my diet would be mostly fruits and little protein.
I don't see myself hunting or facing titanic animals Dinosaurs, tigers, mammoths. Lucky, it's better here he ran than here he died.
But there are always exceptions, I am not so cowardly, if you have to fight with food you fight.
As I am familiar and close to friends, it would be almost the same, since the best option for survival is to be with the whole group and stay united. That would help to find food faster and easier, as well as ways to create a place to spend the night.
I give my imagination that fire has not yet been created, so to survive from the cold you have to be well attached to give body heat. The only ones that can be left over at that time are the strong ones that defeated some big animal and have the skin as clothing or scarf.
MY ability to relate could have given me some points to be able to make certain decisions and help everyone have an equal chance to survive another day, but without becoming a figurehead or leader.
Anyway, my short time alive can be productive for those who know how to take advantage of me, but really thinking about the situation at that time I think my existence would have been very short.

STOPI think it comes to perspective. If you were born during that time, you would've been able to adapt and survive, it's part of how we are coded as humans and as an organism. Our main goal is to survive hence we are engineered to want to have sex etc. Anyways besides that point, in the case we teleported back to that time and had to live as a caveman, it could be a struggle and depending on the level of a persons mental and attitude they would either survive or not survive :x
