RE: How are you, Pet?

Animals have innate abilities that they have inherited from generation to generation for their survival. The human skills taught to animals are just that, they repeat and repeat them in order to earn the food and affection of their master.

I have wondered why human beings are not taught skills and repeat them like circus animals, they would produce profit, food, and shelter…

I leave you with an interesting hen that has travelled the world more than I have, just for the simple fact of playing a small piano, the anthem of the United States, they call her The Patriotic Hen.

Aren't we taught this way? This is pretty much the approach to schooling - repetition. Repetition is really the only way to mastery. There are some master TV watchers!

I wonder if that hen can play another song? :D

Hey, there's the incongruity. As I read it, it took the hen's owner 12 months to teach her the tune, the hen died three years later. The owner amassed money from it by travelling the world carrying the show.

Repetition doesn't make a jazz player.

Miles Davis

I am not sure if Davis ever played the same note twice!"
