Hello, fellow Hivers! I am back again with another blog. This blog would be distinctly different from other travel and adventure blogs. This blog is all about how I never knew that weekend would be this exciting. What makes it more exciting is the fact that there is someone waiting for you to be free on the weekends and finally have the time to hang out after a week of being busy. Wew!
Well, as you all know, my fellow Hivers! I have been a practice teacher for almost two months now. And these past few months have been the most excruciating and busiest days of my entire life. I never knew that being a practice teacher would be this hard and so busy. Gosh! Kidding aside! I have been incredibly thankful for all the memories I've gained over the past months. And the realizations I had have been so comforting to my depressing days. One of the realizations is that my boyfriend is my ride-or-die best friend.
As I was saying, I was so busy with my practice teaching journey that sometimes I would just cry just to let go of what I felt inside. Thankfully, my boyfriend was so man enough to make my weekends the best to remember.
One Saturday evening, he called me and invited me to go out for the night. I never knew that a night out could be a tearful experience, not with sadness, but with the spicy flavor of a Korean noodle.
We went to Aki-Mart in Danao City. It is a Korean DIY noodle hub where you can experience Korean noodles and ice cream—everything in between — in a Korean convenience store. Back then, I was just imagining what it would be like to experience some Korean food. Now, here it is!
We chose the Ramen Buldak Hot Chicken Carbonara Flavor. Since we have no experience with this, we were previously unaware of it. So, we poured everything into one place. The ending was that we had a very spicy noodle that I, personally, could not take without sipping milk alternately. It was a fun experience since it was our first time. We were also amazed by the store, as the vibe was reminiscent of Kdrama. As part of our bond, I teased my boyfriend that we should imagine ourselves like in a Kdrama. We ended up laughing with each other as the spicy sensation of the noodles we chose prevented us from fully enjoying the vibe of the store. We were literally crying out of joy from the spicy heat of the noodles.
Nevertheless, it was one for the experience of the book. Since it was our first time, we learned a great deal. One of those is not to pour all the seasonings if you do not want to experience the spicy feeling. All in all, we were in smiles and tears. What a weekend indeed!
Aki mart sells affordable korean foods tho even though their space is small.
You're right! @kayela
A fun experience indeed.
Weekends like these are the best, where happy and unexpected things happen 😌 It's nice that your boyfriend supports you and helps you in this stage of your life where you're giving your all. I'm glad the tears this time were because of the spice! 😆 I wish you the best in your classes and many more moments full of laughter with your boyfriend. May you be very happy! 💕
