I'm new into the platform, I'm still exploring the communities and this one seemed perfect for me to talk to you about this topic.
It is a pleasure for me to let you know about my trips, this particular one I want to tell you about was to Valencia City, it was a Saturday in my life,to the capital of Carabobo State in my beloved Venezuela. I went to visit its Plaza Bolivar, located in the heart of the city.
On this occasion I was with my life partner 😍that day we ran several errands in the city and decided to stop by and see the Plaza Bolivar. Although he is a native of Puerto Cabello City and I am from Maracay City , two nearby cities, neither of us had ever taken the time to admire this space as such.
People sitting around, children playing, squirrels and iguanas in the gardens, plus the cleaning staff maintaining the space, was part of what I witnessed there.
I found it one of the most beautiful places I have visited, I must say, with an imposing marble monolith of more than 18 meters with a bronze pedestrian statue of the "Libertador" pointing towards the "Campo Carabobo". The monoliths are well preserved, the gardens well maintained, the space completely clean and the written history that tells in detail scenes of the Battle of Carabobo, after which the way was paved for the definitive liberation of Caracas City and the rest of the country from the Spanish yoke.
Even nature is respected.
Although this is a city of high temperatures, around the square is quite cool, large trees help regulate the temperature there, it gives you a respite within the city itself.
Next to it, the Cathedral of Valencia, beautiful, large, well preserved, evokes past times and makes you imagine how they were.
Nearby, spaces full of more history, more recent in years, places that take you to remember what we were.
Near the Plaza, we got the headquarters of Ipostel (abreviature of Postal Telegraphic Institute in spanish) whose history dates back to 1850, the Municipal Theater of Valencia, and even a night deposit vault of the extinct Banco de Carabobo, SA.
It is worth it sometimes, to take a break, to go out, to know, to laugh, to learn, to remember.
And, well, this is a little bit of what I experienced on this trip, I hope I can reflect in letters and images some of my emotion when I tell you about it.
