There are no photographs of many experiences, but the best ones I have are in my mind, in vivid memories that have remained etched in my memory, experiences that have had a profound impact on me because of their importance.
When I read the word camping, the first thing that comes to mind is that trip I took when I was twelve years old. I think it was one of the first trips without my family in a long time, since I couldn't afford to do that kind of thing.
was a camping trip to celebrate the end of elementary school, with all my classmates at a special place the school had in the mountains far from the city. I remember those mountains well because it was the first time I climbed a mountain.
It was a trip, a camping trip full of firsts for me, things I had never experienced before, and I think that's why so many vivid memories remain in my mind, as if I had experienced them yesterday. I will never forget them.
It wasn't a luxury camping trip, quite the opposite in fact, but it was spectacular. There were lots of us girls, and we set up our tents for five days of outdoor experiences in nature, although there was an old house nearby that belonged to the school.
There were many firsts: the first time I went camping, sharing nature with my classmates. In the middle of the camp, there was a big storm that flooded our tents. Everything got wet, and in the middle of the storm, we tried to keep some things from getting wet. We moved to a large hall for the night, where there were more than thirty of us girls. It was a lot of fun. How much time has passed...

We went on excursions, we climbed a hill called Cerro de la Cruz. It wasn't very high, but the views were beautiful. And then we climbed the mountain range. It is so named because at the top there is a large rock with a big hole in the middle that can be seen from below the mountain. It was the first time I had climbed a mountain, and not only that, it was the first time I had drunk water that ran down the mountain. It was delicious. It feels like I am reliving those moments.
We did many outdoor activities. We went to see a river and walked along it, watching the fish swim by. It was also a first for me. In just five days, I experienced many things intensely for the first time, such as spectacular contact with nature, sharing something different with so many people that wasn't classes, making my own food, and experiencing everyday things like showering, but in natural conditions, where there are few things. That makes you appreciate what you have, but also live unique experiences.
I don't have any photographs of those moments, but I have every memory in my mind. I tried to search my hard drive for some that had a mountain range, a house on top, trees, nature, because that was what I experienced. Those five days were great, my friends and I, all twelve years old, in nature, spectacular.
Here are three songs for the #saturdayselections concept, which I used to hear a lot on weekends when I was twelve.
Michael Jackson – Bad
Rata Blanca - The Legend of the Fairy and the Wizard
It's great that memories come back to mind, very beautiful memories, and that's thanks to the weekend themes that @galenkp presents to us every week. Thank you very much for that.
And thank you all very much for reading me today. I wish you a very good weekend. See you soon.

Thank you!! Thank you so much @stresskiller and @ecency 🤗
I had a similar experience as a teenager—I don’t remember exactly how old I was, but we went camping somewhere and ate what was cooked right there over a campfire in the woods. I crossed a river, drank its water, and beyond remembering those moments, when I think of them it’s as if I relive the sensations. Like the smells, the thrill of being in nature. I can even feel the water running over my feet, how fresh and clean it was… I felt free and connected to everything around me. Back then, I couldn’t understand many things I do now, and by piecing it all together, I realise that at my core there’s a love for what’s natural, simple, and genuine.
It’s always a pleasure to read about your journey. 😉
That's exactly how I felt when writing this post, that this love for nature was born a long time ago, but perhaps it was overshadowed by life, worries... but love is always reborn. Thank you!🤗
Good morning @avdesing, these photographs accompany those memories of those first times very well.
I hope that life brings you many new and positive first times.
Best regards.
Life today is much better, I assure you! But those experiences are unique! Thank you!
They are such unique experiences that they stay with you to this day. And that's great... even if your life is much better.
Beautiful things are worth remembering. Have a great weekend!
I wish the same for you.
That'll be great! Thank you!
🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
How are you, Amonet?
I can only imagine what a wonderful experience this camp must have been for you, as well as all the stories you can tell about what happened on this trip.
I hope that when I finish elementary school, I have the opportunity to take a trip like this.
Have a wonderful weekend.
And I hope you have many wonderful and beautiful experiences! Thank you!
Good morning, dear friend @avdesing
12 years old, at this age everything that happens to us is an adventure, and the things that happened on that trip with your classmates will undoubtedly be unforgettable.
I can imagine the situation: having to run through the rain to take shelter inside the house that belonged to the school.
Thank you so much for sharing this camping experience.
Have a beautiful Saturday afternoon.
It was a great experience, especially for me, as I hardly ever left the house. Thank you!
Camping is a common activity here, and the camping grounds are usually well kept, but campers still have to be careful of wild animals like bears. I once woke up to a sound outside my tent in the dark, and when I poked my head out, I noticed my bag was missing. I jumped out of the tent with headlamp on and trekking pole ready to fight a bear or wolf. Then I saw drag marks and found that my bag was being stolen by a raccoon. It nearly gave me a heart attack. I have no pictures, just the memories and trauma 🦝 😆
No, no, no... I don't camp like that, ha ha ha, I'd die if I saw a bear!🤣
Hello, how wonderful that you had the opportunity to go camping and get in touch with nature, sharing with other people. It was a rewarding and meaningful experience for you.
I will never forget that experience, it was beautiful. Thank you very much!
I'll tell you, these are perfect photographs to inspire this post. I appreciate your originality and love of sharing great posts. Thanks, Avesita. I always get to know you a little better when I read you on Weekend Experience 🙏
I like to share some experiences that were great for me. We'll talk about life in general later, ha ha ha! Little by little!
Trips away from home with school or girl guides always fondly remembered, it's amazing glimpsing back in memories made how much we do recall.
Today I see it differently, as something wonderful and a great experience. Thank you very much!
Always an experience first time round. Have a lovely day.
That's right! Have a wonderful day!
