The weekend and why

in Weekend Experiences11 months ago (edited)

I love making plans ahead of the weekend sometimes, it gives me something to look forward to and be happy about, and this week we decided to go hiking in the forest; we committed to going no matter the weather and we keep our commitments. We will pack a little picnic and head off to find some peace and quiet in the forest amongst the pine trees under hopefully blue skies and temperate weather.

We have friends who don't like to plan ahead and that's ok I suppose although I think they miss out on things because of it; they often can't make up their minds about what to do and while they're trying to work it out the weekend passes by. My guy and I don't plan every single thing out, but having some structure some of the time means we mange to fit more in. We lead active lives and feel we owe it to ourselves to stay active and fit and also engaged and interested in our lives.

We often don't plan anything, but that plan not to do anything is actually plan.

I suppose I mean we like to be spontaneous as well, a nice balance of spontaneity and planning things out is what we tend to find and it works really well for us, like the planned hike in the pine forest this weekend and no plans made for Saturday night. Balance.

Balance, the golden mean, is harmony in life, and I act similarly in that sense.

I like to plan my outings or what I'm going to do, it gives me much better time management, but sometimes, just sometimes, I let life surprise me and it does so pleasantly.

Have a great weekend, Becca, I hope you have a wonderful time in the forest!💗

There's room for both methods and I believe there's benefit to both as well.

The forest was amazing, so peaceful and quiet, it seems the bed of fallen pine needles muffles all sound and it left me feeling like we were the only people on the planet; I enjoy that feeling.

Nature is enough; it is infinite. I am glad you felt that way; it is wonderful!
