RE: Six and Counting

She's already 6! Wow!

Times flies, huh?

It's a really great thing she has all this excitement built for her own birthday. I was never a fan of mine. And also, having a party organized and hosted by someone else eases the responsibilities and the focus on other things. I wish she has a lot of great birthdays!

About the other things, challenges are great for kids as we always had this idea of trying ourselves to see how much we can do of this or that. And about the lead or follow idea, we can't be sure what will become of any person as they grow up. I think sometimes it ends in a not-wanting-to-draw-too-much-attention scenerio where kids are good leaders but also like to see what are the skills of others.

It has flown.

When I was a kid, group birthdays were rare and they were for the older kids mostly. I think my first was when I was around 10.

This is what I am wondering too, as she doesn't mind taking the lead with other people, but she seems more reserved, even with friends.

We all find our own path eventually.

I only had like 1. The rest was family reunions with cake. Guess that's why I'm not too keen on celebrating my birthday.

It isn't a bad trait to have a leader.

Exactly. I remember the one I had was a bit of a disaster (due to the organizational skills of my parents), so I never had another until I could organize my own - which by then, had a few more drinks involved :)

Drinks make it better! 😂
