RE: Weekend-engagement topic week 28: The gift

in Weekend Experiences5 years ago

I'm going to make it really clear here that I am breaking the rules. I'm NOT going to limit how many gifts I can give or how much they can cost. Not my style. Sue me if you don't like it.

To @galenkp I wish to give a campfire.

That was the easy part. Where to put it?

I've thought of a lot of my favorite places and I think it should go right where this picture is: On the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I think Faith and @hidave and a few others should sit around this fire and discuss important things interspersed with the odd occasional lie to keep all the participants awake.

I'd think Faith and Galen should be in a travel trailer pulled by a 4x4 so they can truly see the splendor of the Western US. Might take a couple of years...

Merry Christmas my friend. Quantas or Emerites?

Sort:

I wonder do you think they have seen the movie "The Long Long Trailer"? With Lucy and Ricky. I wonder who would gather more rocks.

Lol, @bigtom13 or should it be badtom13 based on your rule-breaking nature.

I reckon a campfire would be a legit Christmas gift to get on its own, and yet you up the ante and put it at the Grand Canyon and surround it with some good peeps? Splendid.

You know, this hive thing sort of connects right, despite the distance and difference between us all. It's weird but welcome. I wasn't sure how people would go with this topic but for me it's easy, it's about companionship, friends and togetherness...That's what hive gives those who put the work in to obtain and nurture that and so my gifts to you and Dave, or anyone I chose here, revolves around that...As does yours in return.

Nice answer rule-breaker, now who else are you gifting, what and why?

I'm not giving away any secrets! You'll just have to wait and read like everybody else. For some I know the perfect gift. For others I need to think a little.

And yes, that is exactly what this Hive thing is about.

I'm looking forward to seeing who you choose, why and with what gifts.

Oh, and notice the small blue flame left of center. That means I'm cooking coffee, and I can tell I'm cooking it in a 60 year old percolator that has been passed down in my family.

The probability exists that it is coffee from a small roaster in Kaibab Utah. I found them by accident and now drink their coffee every time I am near. It's maybe 60 miles from where the picture is taken.

Coffee...Fire...Good company. Seems legit. I'm in.

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

Sammi Jo and I eagerly await your most awesome virtual gift!

Dear God. After everything else, we might have twin blankets! But I wrap me in it when the weather is cold, not some stinking cats :)

I swear to you, my cats do not stink.

This Lil' girl is forever giving herself a non stop tongue bath.

When I say stinking cats it's way more about their behavior than their actual smell. Though a couple I've had have gotten themselves into stinky situations from time to time.
