in Weekend Experiences β€’ 3 years ago

Hey Weekend friends, gotta tell you, me in 20 words?

Tired, sore, a lil too involved, hopeful that all is for a reason and other than that I'm just...me. πŸ˜‡

Wish you all a great weekend πŸ˜ƒ

Twenty words exactly. A gold star for you Anna! πŸ‰

Oh fuck, that's a slice of watermelon. Oh well, you get the point! 😁

I hope the renovation work is going ok and thanks for taking time out to comment here.

!ENGAGE 20

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

I'll take the watermelon!!!!! πŸ˜„

The renovation is going ok it's just that my second man is leaving on Monday and then I'm alone with Vicky, the owner. She is not so much of a construction site type of person πŸ˜‰. So how the next weeks will be like....nooooo idea. I have to write a little bit about it, but when I get home I can barely move my arms anymore lol. It's hard labor I'm telling you ;).

@galenkp I think this response was meant for you not misterengagement πŸ˜…

Oh, my. This got more intimate than expected! Reads quick and it's full of passion.

Have a great weekend! πŸ˜„

Haha I'm always up for a surprise πŸ˜„ . I hope you have a great weekend too. 😊

Even though these words a driving to "the south", this are actually the most exciting times of your life. I can attest to that πŸ˜…

Hehehe most exciting maybe not, most physical demanding I would say. I started helping out 2 weeks ago and found myself being their best shot when it comes to the renovation. I'm the one to call if you wanna build/renovate a house πŸ˜‚.

SeeeeeeeπŸ˜….

Maybe exciting is not tge term but I'm pretty sure you're enjoying the activity.

Lol, I do in a way. What are you up too?

Same As you. That's Why I kinda understand those words, haha. Currently, there are way more responsibilities for me than usual and its kinda what I wanted. I now work/serve in a library for a Seminary in my country.

Lots of tales to tell in coming days for sure.
:)

Uhhh library sounds interesting.

Yeah me just helping a little bit turned out to be me renovating the house lol. And what I thought to be cool stories to write about turned out to be the killer when it comes to writing it down. Having a hard time getting all my thoughts together.

Having a hard time getting all my thoughts together.

Funny you would say that, Cos I just went through your blog and I don't think I've read anything more expressive all week and trust me, I've read a lot of shit. πŸ˜…

All is certainly for a reason but sometimes we don't know the reason for quite some time!

A nice bubble bath should take care of those sore muscles! Works for my wife all the time lol

Lol I can take a bubble shower πŸ˜‚ . I'm using arnica ointment meanwhile, works miracles. I thought I'd help out a little bit, not that I'm renovating a house...things change lol.

Nice the stuff helps for sure! I have two tubes of it about 10 feet from me right now lol good choice!

I know, not having a tub is tough sometimes! That’s one requirement Siena has when we go places or when we look for a house to buy lol. No tub no dice!

I'm not so much a bath type but when it comes to regenerate a lil it would be nice to have one. I could use one now to drown me because I just realized my car is broken. I started driving and suddenly I couldn't shift any gear anymore. The clutch is done I think. With a lot of hassle I made it back home. So next week the old car issue is up again πŸ˜– .

Ugh shit that’s brutal! Sorry, I hate a batch of bad luck. Hopefully it stays to just being that and you turn over a new leaf with some good luck!

It's the stars lately lol. Blame it on astrology πŸ˜‚ . A lot seems to break right now, all over. In a year I might be able to tell you what it's all good for 🀣 .

It won't do your transmission any good, but if the clutch is that far gone you can start it in gear if need be then kick the car into neutral when it's time to brake. A friend of mine told me it would work for a while...

Maybe your Vicki is a 'garage sort of person'?

I'm driving a manual here in Germany. I started driving in 1st gear and wanted to shift to 2nd when I realized nothing is happening. Trying to get it in neutral wasn't working either. The entire clutch/shifter seemed frozen. I turned the car off after a while and tried to get a gear in. After minutes I managed to get the reverse gear and drove up a hill. Then turned the engine off again to shift in 1st and save my ass home. I think I screwed everything up today πŸ˜‚. Just glad I was close to home when it happened and not with 80miles on the Autobahn lol.

Had the clutch given you indications it was heading into the sunset? Hard shifting? Impossible to change gears cleanly? Pedal going down (or up)?

I had a clutch cable break on a VW Scirocco (a car I loved). It got suddenly bad, not slowly. I actually drove that home about 60 miles with no clutch. Not a pretty picture or sound...

Not related: I had a clutch cable break on a Triumph TR-6 motorcycle and wrapped a loop in the remains of the cable so I could lean over and pull the clutch with my hand to shift. I was only maybe 20 years old when that happened, I didn't know that I could be harmed.

From my perspective "just...me" looks like a pretty good place to be. I admire that you are in over your head and enjoying it.

I just helped a 'not a construction site person' (he's a college professor) build a shed. For the most part I kept completely quiet unless he/we were getting ready to make a huge mistake. We got the shed up and he's still a friend so I guess it's all good :)

Lol glad your friendship survived the shed πŸ˜„.
