Garage is finally showing progress. It has more than a couple goat trails through it now. You can actually get from one end to the other. From one side to the other. There's still some clutter. Some shelves that need work. Some crap that needs filtered through. But it's progressing nicely. It's a hot SOB to work in though. Have to take breaks. Sometimes just spend a few minutes a day working in it. That's all I can manage.
Next step is doing the same to our small garden shed. Need to make room in it for some things that are in the garage. Garden shed ended up like the garage over time. Tools and stuff scattered about. Things not put where they belong. Just laziness. Anyway, it's being rectified.
It's storming today and possibly tomorrow. So doubt I can work on the garden shed or open up the garage to work on it. May do some small tidying up in what used to be my home office in the basement. Not sure yet.
We have a heat wave hitting us next week they say. Seems most of Europe has already been dealing with one. In preparation I called an HVAC service to come check out our AC. Make sure everything was in working order and ready for the load. It's an old unit and not sure how much more life it has left in it. Just hoping I can squeeze a couple more years out of it by maintaining it well. HVAC guy said all was well. That was a load off my mind for the time being. You never know with these old machines though. It could fail the first day of high heat. Let's keep our fingers crossed it doesn't.
Oh well. I've dealt with hot before. Not sure the wife would do well for a long time in it though. Then again, when I spent time in the sandbox furnace I didn't have lung and breathing challenges either. Surely we'll be fine.
My cherry tomato plants are growing like crazy now. I can't believe how well they're doing. They've really taken off. From seeds that almost met with near disaster to now being like 5 to 6 inches tall. From floating around in overwatered containers to thriving in pots. Wife wanted me to give up on them. Nope. Glad I didn't.
Anyway, I'm working on a 1,000 word discussion response for one of my classes. Have to go do some reading for it. Hope you all do well this weekend.
What are you working on this weekend?

Thanks for reading,
Joe

One thing you don't want to deal with is that much heat at your age, you've dealt with heat before but you were a tad younger. I find I don't deal with the hot or cold as well as I used to, just part of not being 21 anymore! Glad that HVAC is going to be working for you for a couple more years though, they cost a fortune to fix or replace!
The plants look nice and healthy, you're doing something right! Good luck with you class and writing. It's good to keep the old brain active!
I am just fingers crossed it will work a couple more years. :)
It does keep my brain tip top. As best as it can be. Got its challenges.
In recent years, I’ve learned a lot of things I never thought I’d learn—nutrition and finance. One day, during one of my many walks in front of my house, I passed by a neighbor’s garden, and he invited me to see his avocado tree.... From that moment on, I felt the urge to learn how to plant and grow things, just as I see you’ve done with your cherry tomatoes.... I want to emphasize that I also want to learn this art so I can eat delicious avocados everyday 😜😜
Note: I’d also like to plant tomatoes, purple onions my favorites, bell peppers, and cucumbers which are the vegetables I try to eat every day 😋😋
Thank you for sharing. Just crossing my fingers that they stay alive and produce fruit.
Those tomatoes look lovely, and it’s great that you’re getting things sorted. It doesn’t matter if a heatwave hits, as long as the air conditioning’s working, you’ll be fine, and so will your wife. I can’t wait to see those tomatoes when they’re ready!
Thank you. I can't wait to see and eat those tomatoes as well. :-)
Everything you make at home tastes absolutely delicious!
It does. The good lady makes homemade much of the time.
🤗
It's so good that you have an AC installed already. It was so so hot the last couple of days when it went up to high 30s for us, and was so unbearable especially at night time when all we had was two little fans. I'm glad it's dropped by 10 degrees today, but which is still high by UK standards
I have seen the news reports about how it has been over there. People cooling off in city fountains and canals. It has to be horrible when you are not used to those types of temps. Here we get those types of temps regularly during the summer. Our heat index next week is supposed to be over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Not looking forward to it.
I am working on my air conditioning too. I need to make sure I'm all finished well before my cherry start.
Yeah, I don't envy you crawling around in that attic.
The cherry tomatoes are looking great! Nice work!
I'm mainly getting caught up on administrative stuff for work after helping my dad install a retractable sun screen for his patio.

I think the tomatoes are more dumb luck than anything.
We had one of those retractable deals for ours until we had a more permanent cover built last year.
Sounds like you're still progressing in the things you do, even when it feels so slow. Glad your AC is well. Hope the heatwave won't be too much. Your cherry tomatoes are thriving!
Slow progress, but yes, progress for sure.
Omg look at those tomatoes!!! They've gone great guns! It can happen like that... Nothing then POW.
Stay cool xx
Yep, I would be over the moon. But I think it is just dumb luck on my part. LOL
It’s truly satisfying when persistence pays off. 😍
It is! Thank you.
Congratulations! More tomatoes to go!
Thank you. Yes. We should have plenty.

Well I guess you read about my weekend already, as I got comments on the respective posts I think :-D
Sounds like you're making slow step progress, but progress none the less. That heat in Europe seems to have been terrible. And in northern Germany, ACs are not common at all. Luckily, there are lakes all over. By brother told me that they couldn't keep driving for a day on their motorbike trip as the roads were closed - the tar was getting too soft. Go figure...
