Back when I used to work for a living I was topping up the oil on a large diesel generator and a set of rings failed. Unlucky for me I ended up with a face full of hot oil and exhaust as a consequence I was blinded for a whole week until the ship got me ashore to a doctor. Looking back, no pun intended it was one of the most frightening experiences of my life and if I had to lose one it certainly wouldn't be my sight.

@diveratt. Were you just servicing a generator for someone else or was electricity your forte?
