Spiders! They have always been present in my worst nightmares. I have woken up many times excited because I feel they are near my bed or even on my face. I don't know, if I can consider that I have a phobia of them, I even find them quite an interesting animal. I don't jump or scream when I see them, but I will never try to get close to them, not of my own free will.
Close encounters with these creatures, I have had many, in the rural areas of my state there are many houses of wattle and daub that are walls of trodden earth reinforced with cane, this type of housing seems to be very attractive to these agile and talented little animals, so, it is mandatory to check your bed, before sleeping, not only your bed, also your clothes and especially footwear.
My fear of spiders increased when one of them bit my niece, who at that time was about 05 years old. She hid very well in her boots and thought that my beloved niece's foot was invading her home, when in fact the invader was her. This accident made for a terrifying night for us. We rushed the child to the hospital and kept her overnight for observation, just as a precaution. The girl had a fever that night and a couple of nights later, but fortunately nothing serious.
If you ask me, spiders, I don't like them at all, but I admit that they are very interesting, especially for their ability to weave. That they can produce those silk threads and form those structures is a marvel of nature.
On the other hand, there are snakes, another animal I want far away from me. I don't know what I would do if I ever encounter one, especially if I'm alone. The only thing I like about snakes is the variety of colors and patterns of each species. In my region you don't find very big or dangerous snakes, but in the summer time, where the sun is inclement, they become much more noticeable, in the last few months I have heard from family and friends, that they have encountered some snakes, mostly coral and others that call them blind black snakes.
My closest encounters with snakes have been in the terrarium of the zoo los chorros de milla, there are several species, one that attracts attention and even let touch and carry to take pictures is an albino python, honestly, I have never managed to take a picture with her, I'm terrified to do it.
The photos I share with you today were taken during one of my visits to the zoo. The terrarium is always dark, but it is undoubtedly one of the most visited areas.
In conclusion, even though they terrify me and are not my favorite animals, I consider them to be very interesting animals, because of their incredible abilities and characteristics.
