I've been waiting for the arrival of the weekend with great anticipation.
Ok, to be honest, I await every weekend with great anticipation because weekends are awesome but I needed this one to come around because I've had, yet one more challenging working week, and while a weekend won't make it right, it certainly makes things a whole lot better.
I have my weekend about fifty percent planned with an event I'm attending on Sunday being the main focus of that plan.
I'm off to the largest caravan, camping and outdoor show of the year, a five day mega-show, with my partner of course, and have plans to buy absolutely nothing see what's around that I may need and buy some stuff because there'll be "show specials" on. I have my eye on fucken everything some things I have researched over the last couple months which will make my camping and outdoor life a little more enjoyable and update some equipment that's becoming obsolete or simply old and ineffective. It started last Wednesday and the biggest day is Sunday, some 30,000 people will stream through the gates that day, so I might have to slay anyone who gets in my way be patient when it comes to the displays and stalls due to the volume of people and, most importantly, at the hot dog stand. Fucken hell I hate lines...but I'll wait in one for a decent hot dog!
The rest of the weekend is going to be taken up with chores, (yes, I do housework), and I'm going to cook up a little recipe of some low carbohydrate tuna and vegetable muffin things which I'll take to work a few days next week (if I manage not to fucken eat them all before then). I also have a movie I want to watch with my favourite actress in it, Alicia Vikander (yes I have a crush on her) called Firebrand which revolves around Katherine Parr - sixth wife of Henry VIII - and also stars Jude Law as King Henry. I have a book to finish off and a new one to start and I'm going to take an evening/night hike for a couple hours to watch some stars.
That's about it for my weekend but, as usual, I can't leave until I've shared some music for #saturdayselections so here's three of the many tracks I've listened to this week, all quite different to each other but I think all pretty good - it's ok, you don't have to agree.

The outdoor show sounds like it's right up your alley and I'm sure you will find a whole lot of things you
wantneed. Hopefully your partner will rein you in on the more impetuouswantsneeds lol. In the case of a huge show like that, the more you see, the more you want. During those types of events, the hot dog stands are usually always jam-packed with famished fair goers. You guys enjoy the outdoor show!I'm sitting here watching the supercross qualifying rounds after finishing my chores this morning. I'll have a few hours between the qualifying and the races tonight. Should have just loaded up and gone in person but Daytona is always a madhouse during bike week.
She'll rein me in for sure, although aibcN be quite persuasive. Besides, she kikes all that stuff too - a nice balance between country girl and city chic - so maybe I'll have to rein here in? Ok nope, aim the one who needs reining...and probably a saddle. Lol.
Supercross is good, it's pretty big here as well, we're like America really, just on a smaller scale. I'm glad you get to watch some and like me it seems you like to watch in its entirety not just finals/racing. ✅
The F1 season starts in a couple weeks, aim really looking forward to it!
The revving of engines is exhilarating and yes, I like the prerace shows as it gets more personal and showcases the riders and sometimes past events that have caused deep rivalries and such. It just seems like I'm more vested in the race itself.
Well, the outdoor show is over by now and I hope y'all had a great day, ate some good hotdogs and didn't buy the place out lol.

Ergh I have to do housework as well (ideally today but I'm freaking exhausted after this week just gone, most of it due to accidental or unavoidable late nights and early mornings, apparently I'm getting too old for that) and I don't wanna ;-; but there's one other fun thing planned and the rest of it is pretty chill and whatever.
That mega-show thing sounds like something you would want to take a day off mid-week for so that you can go peruse at your leisure sans massive crowds XD Hope you have a grand old time there anyway :D

Chores too huh? Sucks but must be done I guess. I like a tidy, clean and ordered house so I don't mind *much) because afterwards sitting back in comfortable surroundings is worth the effort. I'd rather have someone else do it of course.
I would have loved to have taken a day off to go to the show but it wasn't possible so I'll wade through the

I ended up not doing any as I ended up being an Uber (which I had agreed to earlier in the week but forgotten about til I got texted by Middle to pick her and boyfriend and friend up) and then exhausted. I did attempt to delegate but that only somewhat worked I think XD

The show was good, I just got back home actually. A lot to see, ran into so many
fuckerspeople I know and saw some stuff I liked, some other stuff I thought I like and now do not, and a few things I've put on my list. And...the only money I spent was for lunch. I was so wooped from a long day of my side hustle job that I went to bed early and did not "evening hike" 20 feet to do some porch swing sittin' to watch those "stars".
So I missed the alignment of those said stars that some low i. q. people would think were hollyweird actors.

Weekends are wonderful.
I was conditioned like most from a young age. First it was that I couldn't wait for the weekend after going to school all week (yuck! boring!) and then it was the weekend for dating, WOOO HOOO! AFter.... it was the weekend reprieve from working.... jeepers, it seems to be the never ending story.
One time many years back, I got off of work one Friday all excited and then ..... nothing.... and I had to laugh at myself thinking about how excited I was for it to be the weekend, even though I had nothing exciting to do. I then knew that now it was all in my head and yet, even knowing that, doesn't stop it from being the same every week.
Hope the show turned out to have every thing you wanted... er.. uh... I mean needed. 😂
I grind pretty hard during the week so I guess it makes the weekends feel more valuable. In truth I don't care what day it is, I live as best I can every day, but in this community, about the weekend, I feel it's relevant to talk up the weekends. Lol.
It's a super cool plan you have, I hope there won't be many queues, although I'm sure there will be and that nobody gets in your way!!!!
You'll be able to get the things you need and at a good price, I'm sure you've done your research before.
I'm doing housework at the moment, I'm on the go all the time. I hope the weather will be with me to do everything I have planned and if not I'll improvise!

In my case, I still haven't found the perfect time balance to manage everything I have to do. I guess, it really is hard to manage to achieve that when you have a lot of backlog.
Finding the balance between the things you want to do and the things you have to do is not always easy, but it's important to create a happy and fulfilled life.

True. And I think simple reminders like that are often forgotten due to the many things that we want to do and the circumstances that keep us occupied at the moment.
I just realized that ingraining those words of motivation into our body and soul requires a lot of hard work and practice - just like how we quickly react to things in our surroundings.
I must say, to be always mindful is to always be that person.
There's nothing wrong with either, in fact both have been instrumental in me finding great success in life personally and professionally.

I actually might play today. Do people in Australia use an app called reclub? It's an interesting app. people host sessions and you just pay and can join their session. I try to find the ones where the host aren't trying to profit too much. and ya I did kick ass last time haha
I've never heard of that app but that doesn't mean it's not used here.
Fair enough but it's good if you need people or wanna join others. They have all kinds of sports and activities on there. paintball, archery, motorsports, pilates, hiking

My weekend has been quiet, I woke up with a fever. I have a habit of getting sick on weekends, luckily it happens very rarely.
A fever on the weekend, that sucks! I'm just getting over a small occurrence of the flu, nothing serious. I've not had a fever since 2021 when I got COVID-19 after flying somewhere and back home for welork. That's sucked. Hopefully you get better soon.
