Yeah, mine has been wooden-spoon- smacked into many colours over the years...It broke a few of those spoons though that's for sure. 😬

Dad used a belt or apple stick poor tree only ever gave 1 fruit, Mom had the wooden spoons although we never got many from her that was dads task... Two older brothers, yup we learned to dance!... Deservedly so 😉
Funnily enough it was my mum that handed out the corporal punishments when I was a kid; never once did my dad hit me. Is that weird? Mum used get enthusiastic though, wasn't very pleasant.
According to how I knew it to be, mothers do have love for their male children while father's do have deepest love for their female children
An interesting perspective. I don't think, in my case, there were favourites or that my parents liked one more than the other. They are both deceased though so I can't ask.
