Lol, instead of whining they should be celebrating a life they still have. I would never drive on random icy lake. The only way I would go is on a official ice roads that open on some cold winters.

lol, we have so many vehicles out on the bays every year. every 3-4 years one of them goes through. usually the ice is good and thick enough that it's never a problem, but it's in cases like these, where someone takes a really heavy vehicle out, or maybe it's someone new/unfamiliar to the area. i gambled once when i was an idiot kid, made it just fine, and that's enough for me.
