On Saturday, my friend and I took a trip to Aceh Jaya, specifically to Lamno, to attend an invitation from one of our colleagues in the western region.
I traveled in the afternoon, as the weather was very favorable, especially after several days of heavy rain in Aceh.
The journey was quite relaxed as we enjoyed the lush forest views in the mountains while traveling along the main road on a motorcycle. The trip took about 2 hours. That afternoon, we also took a moment to stop at Geurutee Mountain, where we admired the beautiful view of the two islands in the open sea.
On a cool morning, enjoying the mountain atmosphere, occasionally hearing birds chirping, the location not far from the villagers' houses also echoed with the sound of roosters crowing as dawn approached. I felt very happy to be here, at one of my friend's durian plantations, as it reminded me of my childhood. My friend and I wanted to share the story of this journey with all of you. My name is Isal Alpha, and I was born into a family of hardworking farmers who never give up—this is the message from my family.
On this peaceful morning, sitting and eating on the mountainside, I enjoyed the pristine beauty of nature, a creation of the Almighty filled with tranquility. Here, we can let go of all the problems from the past and open a new chapter this year. What I have set as my goals for 2025, I hope this year will be the beginning of standing strong on my own feet. Although we all face problems, the paths and solutions may differ, but with determination, each of us can strive for prosperity, success, and to be of service to others and to this universe.
It was truly a delightful breakfast this morning, even though it was just instant noodles that I cooked for breakfast to ensure my friend and I wouldn't have empty stomachs during the activities ahead.
Breakfast time was over, and it was time for us to patrol the durian plantation, searching for fallen fruits and picking them directly from the trees.
I felt so happy this morning, as I got to enjoy fresh fruit straight from my friend's plantation. Even though we only spent about two hours, the results were satisfying, even though we could only harvest a few fruits to consume.
