That which is called good or bad depends much on the culture of a person or a people. Hence what is legit or illegal in environment 'A' might be otherwise in environment 'B'. Deforestation Legit or Not.
a tree of over 140 years fell down by itself.
The argument of the legibility or ineligibility of deforestation would for me never end as there are cases where some areas covered by trees needs to be cleared and converted to other important use for man.
Again, there are areas without trees and man tries to plant trees for the good of man. Looking at these cases, deforestation is an activity carried out by man within his environment for his own benefits .
Difference between deforestation and felling down of trees.
Felling down of trees deals cutting down trees and gathering them where you them to be. While deforestation is clearing an area covered by trees for such purposes like farming, building etc.
Trees, water are the major things we find covering the earth surface. In some areas we see sand without trees in large amount and the area is called a desert. Man inhabits all these places and does all he could to make his dwelling friendly. And Afforestation, deforestation, irrigation etc are common .
Deforestation is legit .
Yes, I strongly believe that deforestation is legit if taking by the meaning of the term.
Trees and water have much space on the earth. Imagine how underdeveloped or towns and cities would be if the forest is not converted to modern society. The wonderful structures in the world today won't be there.
Deforestation is an intentional act. It is not done unplanned. It's purposeful, it's targeted towards development with the increasing number of people leaving in our world.
Taking a good look at why deforestation is done if for farming or agricultural purpose. And most times the tree community which is carefully removed are not fruit bearing trees, some are not good timber trees though they are important in helping keep our environment safe. The conversation of the area to farmland is the best interest of man and his environment .
Arguably, what happens to the animals that live in such areas. This become another topic to discuss. Yet animals do change environment nature had made it so for them #adaptation .
Capital punishment
Punishment is something that no likes. It is always negative and in some cases does not breed the positive change intended this why in education, punishment is seen as the last resort when all other options have failed .
Talking about capital punishment, or death penalty or punishment through killing for an offense committed by someone.
Taking the life of another is a crime. And the Bible which is a sample law from which most countries make their laws doesn't smile at killing as a way of correcting an offender. America says in God we Trust meaning that America agrees to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Howbeit, what is the aim of punishment, it's to correct an act making the offender a better and more responsible member of the society. This is why the prison in Nigeria is now called correctional centers. When death is taking as punishment my question would be where is the correction? What is the lesson learned by the doer of the act? Where will he/she be to tell others not commit crime?
Capital punishment has nothing better to offer, it changes nothing. Evil increases, hearts are hardened crimes increases and one will say nothing would happen after all I would be killed so let me kill.
Thou shall not kill.
This is a commandment. And there is no
exception. And this I rest my case.
Conclusion .
Deforestation for me is legit if done in compliance with the the meaning of the word. If otherwise, it's wasteful and should not be .
Capital punishment is a no for me it has no good purpose for correctly correcting an offender rather makes people more hard in heart instead of softening ones heart to becoming a better self and citizen.

For me, the best thing to do is to plant trees to replace those that have to be removed out of necessity.
Thank you for your kind words and the truth is that deforestation is out of necessity either for farming, urban development or something that man need. Without this, removing trees has no value again let me agree with you on removing trees which has no economic value to planting set of trees which has something great to offer all these still suggest that deforestation is an intentional act leading to development .

hello friend, with respect to capital punishment, I totally agree, but with deforestation, many times they do it in an excessive way, subtracting habitat to the animals, being this also a tool for their extinction.
Yes, I mentioned this also in my article stating that it's a topic for another day.
