'Sweetiepie, do you also want pizza tonight'
I turned myself on the couch from one corner to the next and though about how I don't like pizza in general and how I would only eat pizza like once a year. And this day didn't feel like it was going to be that day. I really hate hangovers.
'Can't we go for sushi or something, or something like springrolls?'
Negotiating is the skill of life right?
And then we ended up grabbing ourselves together. Dragging the asses of the couch and heading over to the 'Downtown gourmet market' which is a bit of a foodcourt with inside as well as outside spots where you can sit. And the best of all, every type of food is available here depending on which stand you go to.
Better said. The perfect oppertunity to get pizza as well as something Asian without ending up in the neverending discussion. Foodmarkets are apparently the best for the relationship
I really love the concept of these kinds of foodmarkets. Getting a snack from the one stand, and getting the next snack from something totally different. In a whole lot of other countries the concept of food sharing is way more integrated. Dutchies like to have a whole meal to themselves.
But with this snack size dishes it is so attractive to just try out a bit and then go to the next. I ended up with getting Indian food, stuffed potatoe, these dimsums and springrolls as well. Pizza we never took hahaah
What also is nice here is the beer menu which tends to change a lot on what they have in store. I went for a St. Bernardus Tokyo white ale to cure the hangover (which is the best way to go..just have one beer nothing crazy, but it feels like the bloodvessels open up again and have space for additional fluid again. In the end hangover=dehydration)
The St Bernardus brewery from Belgium actually as a really nice line going on with all different kinds of flavors and this white ale one was an easy roller which I think everyone would appreciate. That is what you need on a day like that, not too complicated beers together with your not too complicated food.
The last thing that was remarkable? To see how much the price of beers has increased over the last year. The price of food was realistic at this place for two persons, but paying 6 to 7 euros for a craft beer? That is the next level of inflation to me, but I wouldn't be surprised at all that this will become the new normal for craft beer.
Now I am not sure if this price rise was only at the gourmet market, or if this is a new tendency in general...
Well, one of those together with some food was enough for the day. And we all got our choice of food, at least no pizza. That was the winner of the day for sure

Explaining you how to source stuff was obviously time well spent.

Wao also my friends say that drinking a beer the next day kills the hangover. Excellent, I will apply it in case I suffer from the same thing. I can tell you had a busy weekend, I'm glad. Cheers.
Hahah it is the truth actually. Something because of alcohol opening up the vessels getting more fluid in the system again
