RE: Weekend-engagement week 15: Funny or interesting

I can't say I would strait up jump in the water but I can't swim and still go whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing and all that stuff. I just don't know what I would do if I ever fell in tho. Altho I am somewhat comfortable with my mortality that if I die doing something fun in the Rockies, I kicked the bucket happy.

Sort:

I have done rafting, and tried to swim in a swimming pool, and river a bunch of times.

But deep sea dive is completely different stuff. If I had known it was so scary, I would not have jumped. I thought water is water, lol. I was wrong.

It's different when you can not see the bottom.

I understand perfectly. I am a strong swimmer, and love the water.

But I get it from my motorcycle riding. I've ridden over 50 years and know I am just a bad left turn from a car from dying. I'm ok with the risk AND the reward.

If a Buick does get me, don't mourn. Say instead "He had a hell of a run."

You are having a hell of a run in this life👍

Thank you, yes. And what's even more important is that I know it and celebrate it! Celebrate living!

I think if we die from doing something we love, it's only sad for those in our surroundings. I hear it all the time, a hike fell off a cliff in the rockies or in your case riding a motorcycle....such a tragedy...bla bla bla, in reality they died something they love experiencing life to the fullest, I don't think the rest of the world realizes that.

I agree. Absolutely.

And you are right, most of the world doesn't get it.
