Greetings, Weekend Community! Allow me to greet you and apologize for my absence in these parts. Work problems kept me busy, but here I am back to tell you about my latest adventures!
Last week was crazy. I was involved in the logistics of a company anniversary lunch. Yes, yes, me, the paperwork queen, organizing an event. What could go wrong, right? Lunch took place in a cozy corner of my dear Anaco, specifically in the "Super Express" restaurant. Now, the name is all a spoiler, but the attention we receive, you can't even imagine! Although the heat crept into the party like that inopportune friend who shows up without an invitation, we had a great time. Of course, I lacked my giant fan to keep myself dignified.
On the menu, an epic duel: "Tenderloin Stroganoff" vs. "Swiss chicken supreme". Both dishes with their entourage of mashed potatoes and the inevitable Caesar salad. Taste buds are in their finery for this culinary showdown! And as if the battle was not enough, the toast arrived, and as a good modern civilization, the birthday song with a rich carrot cake could not be missing.
On Sunday, the emotional hangover from the celebration accompanied me with a friendly flu greeting. But not even the fever stops a gastronomic warrior like me. I decided to give love to my family by cooking the blackest and most glorious "black roast" they have ever seen. I added its little rice so as not to forget our roots and a cooked salad worthy of a gathering of all the ingredients that I could find in my fridge.
To crown the day, a girls' night. I escaped with my sister and my friends with laughter, anecdotes, toasts and more laughter. I returned home exhausted, but with the satisfaction of having survived a weekend trip. And as if nothing had happened, I collapsed on my bed next to my husband, who, as always, watched my odyssey with a mixture of wonder and pride.
