Even though life has changed drastically, going through hell of a stress, everything seems upside down, we kinda make some moments for ourselves. Even if the pages aren't so colorful nowadays, we can always go back a few pages, maybe to the old diaries, to find the colorful entries that kinda give goosebumps and some regrets of the golden days we have left behind. Always a wish to go back to the old days, most of us, an unknown thirst for the impossible desire.
So, as this week’s prompt goes, here I am with a prank that was too big to share. Even today, if in any gathering, we remember this, all the friends burst out in laughter.
So it was during 2016 or 2017, we were in our teenage years, and school life was at its peak. The boom of social media was just on fire for our generation. Social trends and craze were just starting. Different trends one after another, which are yet to be noticed. So, one of the trendy things suddenly was to join photo contests, girls and boys would compete with one another based on likes and comments. So one of our friends was prone to this, so he joined one of the contests.
So, in the comment section, a girl praised him so poetically that he couldn't resist sending friend requests and sending text messages to her inbox. With bare eyes, it was like the girl got a crush on him, and he made the next step and approached her. Continuous texting, photo sharing kept going on; after one or two, it was time to meet the girl. Well, our friend didn't share with us; he went to meet the girl.
It was a riverbank, and a cafe was there, so that was the spot. We saw our friend come well-dressed. He was walking here and there while being busy on the phone. Like, approaching one group of people, then to another, walking by the river bank, on the road again, here and there. It kept going on for almost an hour. We could see the restlessness in his movements. We tried calling him, but he lied to us that he was somewhere else and was busy.
Suddenly, we approached the cafe, exactly where we were sitting, and he didn't notice us, but we did. One of our friends opened the phone and started filming. From a distance, he noticed us and instantly tried to hide, and guess what, we called him out loud by the name of the girl he came to meet. She is here, come, my friend. He was shocked hearing the name, as he didn't share anything with anyone then. How did we know this? Being perplexed, he was approaching us.
We took a selfie and sent it to him. From where? From that girl’s Facebook account. Actually, that was a fake account, created by one of our friends. And when he figured out that we had fooled him with this fake account, he started to chase us. I still remember, he kept chasing us for straight twenty minutes, and got tired. We sat at that exact cafe with him, and burst out laughing. One after another was reading aloud the chats. Oh, how funny those moments were. He was so shocked. After that day, even while chatting with the real girls, he was like This could be another fake account for us, he would double-check before continuing with further chatting, hahaha.
So yeah, this was one of the thousands of pranks that we did on those days. Every day used to be filled with enjoyable stuff and so on. Well, these pranks weren't anything too serious to affect the friendships, or so it used to strengthen them even more. That's how we used to be, no ego, attitude, or things like that, pure friendships. Nowadays, if we make these kinda pranks, chances are that we will end up losing those friendships for sure, except for the true friendships.

Actually, I too remember doing something like this in school. However we did not get my friend's reaction on video, that would've been amazing.
