Hoy les hablaré de mi aventura de fin de semana en la ciudad de Quito, Ecuador, el cual inició realmente desde el mismo viernes en la tarde, cuando nos preparamos con las compras de regalos y otras cosas para el fin de semana.

Today I will tell you about my weekend adventure in the city of Quito, Ecuador, which really started on Friday afternoon, when we prepared ourselves with the shopping for gifts and other things for the weekend.
Les cuento que fue una experiencia divinaaaa, ya que nos dispusimos a conocer todo lo que pudiéramos de la capital de Ecuador. Entonces nos organizamos para lograr hacer la mayor cantidad de visitas. Fue una experiencia inolvidable, en la que me sentí como en casa, ya que ellos y nosotras manejábamos el mismo idioma.
I tell you that it was a divine experience, since we set out to see as much as we could of the capital of Ecuador. So we organized ourselves to make as many visits as possible. It was an unforgettable experience, in which I felt at home, since they and we spoke the same language.
El sábado en la mañana, luego de desayunar, decidimos iniciar el recorrido visitando las principales calles del centro de la ciudad, las más cercanas al hotel en el que nos alojamos.
On Saturday morning, after breakfast, we decided to start our tour visiting the main streets of the city center, the ones closest to the hotel where we were staying.
Por ahí mismo, nos encontramos con el parque El Ejido, ubicado en el centro de la ciudad, en el que compramos souvenir para la familia y amigos.
Just down the road, we came across El Ejido park, located in the center of the city, where we bought souvenirs for family and friends.
Ese día aprovechamos de visitar el volcán Pululahua, con más de 300 años inactivo. Me pareció hermoso, puesto que su composición ha determinado los mejores cultivos de la región.
That day we took the opportunity to visit the Pululahua volcano, which has been inactive for more than 300 years. I found it beautiful, since its composition has determined the best crops in the region.
Ya al final del día, nos tocó comer en Mc Donalds.
At the end of the day, we had lunch at Mc Donalds.
EL DOMINGO
Este día tuvimos el gran placer de pisar justamente La Mitad del Mundo. Antes de continuar, he de decirles que me encantó que sus nativos fueran políglotas, dominando al menos el español, el inglés y el idioma de su etnia. Desde los más viejos a los más jóvenes; esto es algo maravilloso, ya que aviva el turismo de ese país.
SUNDAY
On this day we had the great pleasure of visiting ** Middle of World**. Before I continue, I have to tell you that I loved the fact that the natives were polyglots, mastering at least Spanish, English and the language of their ethnic group. From the oldest to the youngest; this is a wonderful thing, since it enlivens the tourism of that country.
En este sitio, observamos un experimento que evidencia el fenómeno de la gravedad de la tierra y sus efectos sobre: la mitad del mundo, sobre el hemisferio norte y sobre el hemisferio sur. En este sentido, colocaron agua en una bandeja con un desagüe en el centro, que al abrir en estos diferentes posiciones geográficas separadas gráficamente apenas por una linea, caían de manera distinta: justo en la línea, el agua caía verticalmente. En el lado del hemisferio sur hacía un remolino en el sentido de las agujas del reloj, y en el lado del hemisferio norte, lo hacia en el sentido contrario.
In this site, we observed an experiment that evidences the phenomenon of the earth's gravity and its effects on: half of the world, on the northern hemisphere and on the southern hemisphere. In this sense, they placed water in a tray with a drain in the center, which when opened in these different geographical positions graphically separated only by a line, fell differently: right on the line, the water fell vertically. On the southern hemisphere side it swirled clockwise, and on the northern hemisphere side it swirled counterclockwise.

Lamentablemente, por el poco tiempo disponible, no pudimos conocer el volcán Cotopaxi, en el cual también cae nieve. Sin embargo, ya nos habíamos preparado respecto a la ropa para ir hasta allá, compramos guantes, pasamontañas, sweter y medias. Lamento no haber podido usarlas en ese momento. Pero sustituimos el paseo por la visita al mercado de Quitumbe.
Unfortunately, due to the short time available, we were not able to visit the Cotopaxi volcano, where snow also falls. However, we had already prepared our clothes to go there, we bought gloves, balaclavas, sweaters and socks. I regret not having been able to wear them at that time. But we replaced the walk with a visit to the Quitumbe market.
RUMBO AL MERCADO DE QUITUMBE
Regresando del paseo hacia "La Mitad del Mundo", nos dirigimos hacia un mercado llamado Quitumbe, conocido por la venta de productos artesanal de la misma gente de la región, de muy buena calidad. Se trata de una zona comercial muy fluida, en la que aprovechamos de comprar chaquetas de jeans, edredones, vestidos para las niñas, zapatos para mi hijo, entre otras cosas.
ON THE WAY TO THE QUITUMBE MARKET
Returning from the walk to "Middle of World", we headed to a market called Quitumbe, known for the sale of handmade products of the same people of the region, of very good quality. It is a very fluid commercial area, where we took the opportunity to buy jeans jackets, quilts, dresses for the girls, shoes for my son, among other things.
Y aquí terminó nuestro fin de semana en Quito, una ciudad con mucho turismo, con un gentilicio muy amable, delicado y tranquilo. Me hizo recordar a mi Venezuela en los años 80-90.
And here ended our weekend in Quito, a city with a lot of tourism, with a very friendly, delicate and calm people. It reminded me of my Venezuela in the 80s and 90s.
