Its just one of colour. Blue can make a difference in the appearance of colours.
Like in the green in your profile, blue patches is showing in the background. Did you notice that.

Well, if you think about it, blue is one of the primary colors, so it's normal that many people like it. Red and even yellow or green are also nice colors.
Now, if you think about food, blue is one of the most absent colors in food because it is not something we relate to food.
