I like beige and shades of grey too. They are often neutral and soothing for my eyes. Especially I like the beige color of paperbooks. :)

Now that you bring it up, I totally forgot to include the beige color of books as one of my reasons for liking this color! I definitely agree with your point about the color being easy on the eyes. Also, there is nothing like opening a fresh book and the waft of ink taking over your senses 🤣.
They don't call me book sniffer for no reason, jk no one calls me that 🤣
